Responsibilities:

The Underwater Sonar Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of underwater sonar and acoustic sensor systems deployed at sites. • Diagnose and troubleshoot sonar system faults spanning hardware, cabling, connectors, acoustic sensors, signal conditioning units, and embedded software to minimise system downtime. 
• Support system integration, alignment, calibration, and functional verification of sonar systems, including during upgrades, retrofits, or system modifications. 
• Conduct on-site testing, verification, and acceptance activities, including system health checks, operational testing, and post-maintenance validation. 
• Provide technical support, operational guidance, and basic training to customers, operators, and end-users on sonar system operation and maintenance. 
• Prepare accurate service reports, fault findings, maintenance records, and configuration documentation in accordance with quality and contractual requirements.
