Get to Know the Role

You will lead product marketing strategy for Grab's service portfolio, developing positioning and launch plans for new products and features across multiple countries. You will analyze user behavior data to identify growth opportunities and collaborate with product teams to incorporate insights into development roadmaps. You will also implement automation tools to streamline marketing research and reporting processes, while managing revenue targets tied to product adoption and user retention metrics.

You will report directly to the Regional Head of Marketing, Brand and Creative and this is a fully onsite role.

The Critical Tasks You will Perform

• You will develop customer value propositions for new product launches across Mobility, Deliveries, E-commerce, and Financial Services. You will also develop go-to-market strategies, adapting messaging for consumers, merchants, drivers, and enterprise clients in different Southeast Asian markets.
• You will analyze user adoption, retention, and revenue data to identify growth opportunities, presenting findings to product teams and senior leadership to inform roadmap priorities and marketing investments.
• You will coordinate launch timelines and marketing programs across regional product teams and country operations, aligning stakeholders on priorities and ensuring consistent execution across multiple markets.
• You will implement AI tools and automation workflows for market research, user insights, and marketing execution, reducing manual processes and improving data accuracy for decision-making.
• You will manage revenue accountability for product adoption metrics, tracking performance against quarterly growth targets and adjusting marketing strategies based on performance data.
• You will present market insights, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members, informing company-wide investment decisions.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 10+ years experience in product marketing, strategy, or general management roles within consumer technology, mobile applications, or SaaS companies with multi-country operations.
• Experience developing customer value propositions and go-to-market strategies for digital products, evidenced by prior launches of consumer-facing features or services across multiple markets.
• Experience analyzing user behavior data and revenue metrics to inform product decisions, including proficiency with analytics platforms (such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Tableau) and SQL for data querying.
• Experience managing P&L accountability or revenue targets for product lines, with demonstrated ability to forecast growth and optimize marketing spend against acquisition and retention goals.
• Experience implementing marketing automation tools, AI research platforms, or predictive analytics solutions to streamline insights generation and campaign execution.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects across product, engineering, and commercial teams in multiple countries, with demonstrated ability to align stakeholders on timelines and deliverables.
• English language proficiency to develop technical marketing documentation and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and board members (regional language skills beneficial for coordinating with local market teams).

Summary

The Associate Director, Product/Category/Segment Marketing is responsible for defining and strengthening the market position of assigned products or brands within the broader product strategy. This role combines market research, competitor analysis, and collaboration with sales teams to drive impactful marketing initiatives that enhance product awareness, adoption, and revenue growth. Beyond go-to-market execution, the Associate Director ensures products meet evolving market needs, leveraging insights to influence future product direction. The role also involves articulating product benefits, delivering compelling customer messaging, and representing the brand through demonstrations, presentations, and marketing collateral.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Lead governance and delivery of significant projects and programs, ensuring outcomes are clearly defined and achieved.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in product/category/segment marketing, with proven expertise in portfolio and product management.
