As an Executive Director within the Futures Sales team in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our futures execution and clearing franchise across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. • Cross-Asset Collaboration: Partner with Prime Brokerage, OTC Clearing, FICC, and Equities sales and trading desks to deliver the full suite of Goldman Sachs' capabilities to clients.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in institutional futures sales, futures clearing, or prime brokerage.
• Licensing: Must possess or be eligible to obtain the relevant Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) representative licenses (e.g., Capital Markets Services license for trading in capital markets products).
• Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of global futures markets, exchange rules, margin methodologies (e.g., SPAN, VaR-based portfolio margining), and electronic execution platforms.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting to C-suite executives and portfolio managers.

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in public policy, international development, economics, social sciences, business, or related disciplines, with 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience in research programme development, international development initiatives, research funding strategy, or large grant coordination.
• Prior experience working with international research funding ecosystems including philanthropic foundations, multilateral development banks, bilateral development agencies, and international research funding programmes.
• Strong understanding of global research funding ecosystems including philanthropic foundations, multilateral development institutions, development finance organisations, and bilateral development agencies such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Green Climate Fund, United Nations Development Programme, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development initiatives, United States Agency for International Development, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
• Familiarity with international research funding mechanisms including Horizon Europe, large foundation grants, collaborative research programmes, consortium funding initiatives, and multilateral research partnerships.
• Demonstrated experience conceptualising programme-scale research or development initiatives aligned with major international funding opportunities.
• Experience coordinating large research proposals or programme-level grant submissions involving multiple investigators and institutional partners.
• Ability to translate investigator-led research into programme-level initiatives aligned with major funding priorities.
• Experience managing multi-institution or multi-country collaborations involving universities, research institutes, international organisations, government agencies, or philanthropic foundations.
• Strong project management capability to track research proposal pipelines and coordinate complex multi-partner programme submissions.
• Excellent written communication skills, particularly in developing programme concepts, research funding proposals, and strategic concept notes.
• Experience working within or alongside international development organisations, multilateral institutions, global foundations, or international research programmes will be highly advantageous.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for candidates who are curious, collaborative, and interested inbuilding a career within PWM and broader markets-focused investing.

• Experience in financial markets, investments, or related areas (typically 5–8 years), with some client exposure
• Familiarity with equity markets and portfolio concepts; exposure to derivatives or structured solutions is helpful but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in working with data and investment ideas
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas in a simple and effective way
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
