Job Details:

You will be part of the technical specialists working at the waste management facilities including Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) - a large-scale waste management infrastructural project, and Tuas South Incineration Plant (TSIP).

· You may be part of the project team to supervise IWMF construction progress.

The work scope includes:

1. To work with project consultants and key stakeholders, such as other government agencies, on the design of the various facilities in IWMF and ensure that IWMF is constructed, erected, installed in accordance with design specifications and complying with statutory requirement.
2. To participate in the testing, commissioning of mechanical, process, or electrical, instrument, control and automation equipment/systems.
3. To attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) at local and overseas factories to witness and verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems.

· You may be part of the technical team in the operation and maintenance of TSIP. Your work scope includes:

1. To lead a team of technical supervisors and specialists and coordinate maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient operations of the waste-to-energy facility.
2. To implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for the facility's electrical and control equipment such as turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, low tension and high tension equipment, distributed control system and field instruments.
3. To administer contracts for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, EICA or building services equipment
4. To enforce permit-to-work system and safe work culture including supervising contractors’ work for quality and safety
5. To formulate and prepare standard operating and safety procedures, equipment testing / changeover programmes
6. To perform shift work in a waste-to-energy facility, if needed
7. To work closely with the management of TSIP to implement initiatives on safety and continuous improvement to enhance the safety culture and standards within the plant, as well as drive projects to achieve operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Structural Engineering, Chemical, Environmental Engineering)
• Preferably with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply*.
• Candidates with professional certification, e.g. Professional Engineer, Steam Engineer, Licensed Electrical Worker, Workplace Safety and Health Officer, will be given preference
• Possess good technical background and strong analytical skills. Knowledge in solid waste management would be an advantage

Job Summary

Join our high-growth startup as a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager to lead site development and set the gold standard for mechanical operations in HVAC/Semiconductor projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of construction projects to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide regular, high-level project status updates and performance metrics to top management.
• Align project execution with company business goals and timelines to drive strategic outcomes.
• Identify project risks early and implement effective corrective actions to mitigate impact.
• Mentor and lead a team of Project Engineers to enhance team performance and project delivery.
• Oversee technical planning and development of infrastructure and mechanical facilities to meet project requirements.
• Manage project activities to maximize productivity and minimize material wastage.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Statutory Authorities, consultants, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication.
• Ensure compliance with government safety regulations and quality standards at every project phase.
• Supervise mandatory inspection and testing of all site machinery and equipment to maintain operational safety.
• Establish and monitor stringent work quality controls throughout construction processes.
• Track daily work progress against the master project timeline to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues affecting project works promptly.
• Monitor and manage project budgets to prevent cost overruns during execution.
• Respond to account sales inquiries and maintain client relationships effectively.

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, construction, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of verified experience in Project Management.
• Hands-on experience in the Singapore building/construction industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD for reviewing and modifying technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills applied to project challenges.
• Effective negotiation skills and clear communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and maintain performance under high-pressure environments.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate project teams and meet tight deadlines.

Reporting directly to the leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions for the company's semiconductor automation and control systems. In this full-time position, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop and optimize software applications and systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and automation processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software architecture, algorithms, and control logic
• Develop and maintain software tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the company's products
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, and provide technical support to customers and field engineers
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software engineering for the semiconductor industry

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Computer Studies or its equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in C++ programming and semiconductor automation/control systems
• Proficient in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Hands-on experience in developing embedded software, firmware, and real-time control systems
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation technologies
• Senior Engineers may be considered for a Managerial level
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and innovate
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile, and proficiency in using relevant tools and technologies
