JOB MISSION

The Application Engineer Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, training and development of Application Engineers who provide support for integration or technical projects.  Help manage the P/L (profit and loss) while ensuring all client and company business needs are met. 

DUTIES

·       Attend meetings with customers and Project Management team to analyze and determine customer system needs and provide recommendations.

·       Understand all customer commitments / contracts/ standards and ensure that all fulfilments are met to milestones and quality standards.

·       Ensure new hires are trained to comply with client standards/processes.

·       Work with the Design and Project Management team to engineer systems.  Take overall responsibility for estimating Application Engineering tasks during projects.

The Deputy Design Manager is primarily responsible to lead the coordination within the technical team (Structural, Architectural and M&E). We are seeking a Design Manager with strong architectural capability and interior design exposure to join our design team. This role is suited for someone ready to take on increasing leadership responsibilities across complex, design-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities

•       Lead architectural and interior design development, including concept design, façade studies, spatial planning, and overall design strategy

•       Coordinate across multidisciplinary consultants, including Architecture, Interior Design, C&S, MEP, landscape, lighting, and façade

•       Manage design development deliverables, including drawings, BIM/Revit models, and technical documentation

•       Review shop drawings, material submissions, and mock-ups to ensure design intent is maintained

•       Integrate interior design elements such as layouts, finishes, and joinery detailing into overall design delivery

•       Coordinate with site teams to resolve design issues and ensure quality alignment during construction

•       Prepare presentation materials for design reviews, stakeholders, and authority submissions

Requirements

•       Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior architecture

•       5–7 years of experience in 5-starhospitality and/or luxury retail interior design projects in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong or comparable high-end international markets. Experience working with developers or operators is a plus

•       Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

•       Strong understanding of detailing and construction methodologies

•       Strong communication and coordination skills with consultants and stakeholders

What Good Looks Like

•       Proven experience in luxury projects (hospitality 5-star hospitality interior design projects/ retail) in Japan, Korea, or Hong Kong

JD:

• Lead and manage all engineering design activities for LNG and oil & gas projects, ensuring designs meet project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Provide technical leadership, review and approve engineering deliverables, and ensure design quality, safety, and constructability.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal disciplines to ensure smooth execution of engineering activities and timely delivery.
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, monitor project progress, resources, and risks to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:

• B.S. or equivalent degree inengineering from an accredited university with minimum 15 years of relevant experience in LNG & oil/gas projects.
• At least have 5 years of similar management position in major LNG & oil/gas projects.
• An advanced degree in Engineering Management or relevant project management training/experience will be anadvantage.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate internal project team reviews followed by an approval and review by the client of the work schedule, progress measurement and reporting systems.
• Review status reports, modify schedules and plans as required and keep the management appraised of the progress on a regular basis.
• Make sure the project management framework is well-organized and that it runs smoothly.
• Monitor project progress and prepare reports on project safety and commercial status.
• Coordinate the schedule, budget, issues and risks of the project.
• Collating the tendering documents, whether electronically or paper copies, in a presentable manner for client.
• Liaise closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants and authorities; set guidelines and provide expertise and supervision to the team

• Verify the overall list of errors, construction detail and design, defects and variations based on construction plans and drawing designs before construction and or processing payment to subcontractors

• Manage people and organisational functions such as perform on-the-job coaching and to track employees’ productivity.

• Plan, forecast and track sub-contractors work progress, provide weekly scheduling and conduct daily coordination meeting to ensure project target timeline are met by sub-contractors, including logistic arrangement for daily operation needs.

• To primarily work with cross-functional teams, as well as with external vendors, partners, and customers to fulfill the project deliverables.

• You will be tasked with developing and managing project schedules, scopes, resources, and monitoring of project health.
• Guide a team to meet the overall objectives of projects.
• Handle sales inquiries with quality leads provided.
• Gather and collect design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs.
• Assists and supports the interior or architectural design team in planning and designing for projects.
• Review design requirements and determine best design options for project.
• To handle customers queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Responsible for coordination and quality standards of presentations, specifications, drawings and FF&E packages.

Qualifications:

• Professional Certificate/ Diploma/ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related design field/ project/ management
• 5+ years of relevant project experience
• Demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities
• Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Able to cope with multiple demands while remaining professional at all times
• Possess strong verbal and written communication, graphic and organisational skills

Responsibilities:

• Work as a team leader. Overall control the entire Design Department.
• Preparing Shop drawings, tender drawing, fabrication drawings, cutting list etc. 3D drawings. Monitor and control the progress and quality of drawings provided by the whole team.
• Attend meetings related to tender, design discussion, design optimization, critical design resolutions.
• Liaise with Client, Main Contractor, Architect and Consultants for design & technical issues.
• Oversee fabrication work and overall project coordination. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team on site.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in aluminium facade design
• Report to the Director.

Requirements:

• At least 6 year experience in Alum and Glazing Design design works.
• Responsible, with good organizational and communication skills. Able to work as a team leader.
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards and construction techniques
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering or a related field and above.
• Singapore Citizen and Permant Residence are preferred. (Foreigners with relevant experience will also be considered)

Part of the Alternatives Operations Team, The Alternative Senior Manager – Operations Design and Delivery role, will be located in Singapore, will support directly the Head of Operational Design and Delivery, and will focus on the design and operating model for any new and existing investment capabilities managed and to be introduced to Alternatives Business across countries and entity, with an initial focus on Private Credit, Real Asset and Evergreen strategies.

In this role you will:

• Designing and setting up new operating model related to portfolio/fund’s structure across Alternatives investment capabilities in close collaboration with Product, Investment functions as well as Investment Operations capabilities leads across alternatives investment products until full portfolio onboarding. It would include processes, resources, any 3rd party relationship and infrastructure built
• Supporting any change to existing operating models to reflect any new services, processes and controls
• Developing a global effective operation framework, including complexity ad risk assessment, and comprehensive documentation according to HSBC standards, for all operating models as a member of the Design and Delivery Operations team. The capabilities will be allocated according to capacity, expertise, and background
• Contributing actively and on a continuous basis to end-to end process mapping in close engagement with functional architecture team, 1st line of Defence risk and controls and 2nd Line of Defence to get guidance, support and assurance in the review of the output
• Engaging with global fund services to take part of 3rd party providers relationship and the assessment of their product and technology services related to Alternatives capabilities (fund administrator, loan services, TA, Custodian, cash management solutions…) at the initial set-up as well as on an ongoing basis
• Directly supporting Alternatives Operations Director in any inorganic initiative and potential transaction across countries and capability to participate to due diligence of a new counterparty from an operation perspective, build and assess the integration plan (impact and cost assessment, risk and issues management)

To be successful you will need:

• Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Professional certifications (i.e. CAIA, CFA, ACA, FRM…) and experience in alternatives investments products are distinct advantages i.e Private Credit, Real Assets and Evergreen strategies
• Working experience exposed to products (funds and mandates) from any European or any other local regulations like Hong Kong or Singapore, cross borders taxations and capital structure

• Strong experience managing operational risk in a changing environment
• Must show ability to communicate clearly on complex and diverse subjects and to maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients, investors and colleagues
• Must possess effective project management, organisational and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work to deadlines in an efficient and accurate manner
