What you'll do:

• Monitor & track supplier performance and feedback to strategic buyers and/or category managers

• Delivery and Shipping related issues and inquiries

• Manage Vendor performance, driving improvements on time delivery,  quality conformance, and other compliance issues

• Manage and resolve Vendor Returns (RMA, Cost Recovery, Replacements)

• Perform regular open order review meeting with Vendors

• Manage AP Inquiries (Invoice issues, etc..)

• Support internal cross-functional stakeholders to onboard and approve new raw materials and suppliers

• Degree or Diploma with 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience in the healthcare or chemical manufacturing industry.

• Experience using SAP.

Market Awareness & Benchmarking

• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and supplier landscape across regions.
• Provide actionable insights to ensure competitiveness in all submissions and proposals.

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience in buying / procurement (preferably electronics, retail, or consumer goods).
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation and commercial deal-making.
• Experience working with aggregators, distributors, and direct brand relationships.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Ability to operate without fixed volume commitments and still secure competitive terms.
• Experience building or improving operational processes from scratch.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in regional sourcing across Southeast Asia or Hong Kong markets.
• Familiarity withe-commerce, marketplace, or rewards platforms.
• Exposure to automation, system integrations, or process digitization.

• Execute planning activities, including supply schedules, forecasts, and exception reporting, ensuring supplier commitments meet production demands
• Drive on-time delivery by expediting orders and resolving material shortages
• Handle and close out quality issues, change requests, supplier returns, goods receipts, and invoice discrepancies efficiently
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data while complying with established processes
• Monitor and manage inventory to maintain optimal levels and reduce excess stock

What You Bring:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing and planning, preferably in electronics and mechanical assemblies
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SAP ERP systems and in a manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities

• Manage local and overseas procurement of raw materials and spare parts, following ISO procedures.
• Develop purchase strategies to reduce costs and lead times.
• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers.
• Handle banking documents for financing and assist finance with PO billing issues.
• Prepare purchasing reports and maintain approved vendor and supplier MSDS lists.
• Source, review, and evaluate vendors; negotiate for best pricing.
• Monitor shipments and ensure timely delivery; prepare import and marine insurance documents as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and QA for rejected materials, and support ISO audits.

Responsibilities

• Supports material requirements of the Production Centres by soliciting best bids in accordance with the company’s standard procurement policies and procedures.
• Conduct bids evaluation and organize technical and commercial clarification meetings with vendor if necessary.
• Prepare Commercial Bid Evaluation reports for vendor short listing and selection.
• Reviews requisitions and clarifies with the user departments on any discrepancy or incomplete information with regards to specification, quality, quantity and delivery requirements.
• Recommends substitution where a saving in cost or improved delivery will result.
• Prepare purchase contracts, to clearly address the agreed specification requirements, terms and conditions.
• Manage Purchase Contracts to ensure vendor fulfilling the entire contract obligation.
• Monitor post purchase order activities such as vendor’s design and engineering progress, manufacturing progress, delivery status and etc.
• Expedite for vendor data and drawing submission.
• Compiles and maintain a library of catalogues, price lists, etc. to be used for reference.
• Visits vendor plants to familiarise with the key personnel analyse facilities and capabilities, as well as perform audit and vendor performance appraisal
• Ensures the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations.
• Any other tasks and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in any Engineering field
