Job Summary

Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and security device projects, delivering robust network solutions that meet client requirements. Provide expert consulting and technical guidance to drive successful project outcomes and support network operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, implement, test, and commission data networking projects to meet client specifications and performance standards
• Lead the engineering and deployment of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and security devices including Firewalls, Network appliances, IPPBX, and IT systems to ensure secure and efficient network operations
• Provide consulting and technical guidance to clients and internal teams to develop system specifications and optimize network architectures
• Conduct system presentations to communicate design concepts, project progress, and technical solutions to stakeholders
• Support the design and engineering of Wide and Local Area Networks and security device setups to enhance network reliability and security
• Manage network operations center (NOC) activities and provide ongoing support for LAN/WAN networks to maintain high availability and performance
• Independently manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals and foster a productive work environment

Required competencies and certifications

• At least 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting LAN/WAN networks and network operations centers
• Proven ability to manage network projects independently, delivering results on schedule
• Strong analytical skills applied to troubleshooting and optimizing network performance
• Effective oral and written communication skills to clearly convey technical information and collaborate with stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve shared objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Info-Comm, Computer Science, or equivalent
• CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, or CCDP certification

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in hull and accommodation outfitting design, covering arrangement, calculations, procurement, detail design, bill of materials, and 3D modeling for tenders and ongoing projects.
• Prepare and review technical specifications for outfitting equipment and materials, evaluate vendor bids, and oversee procurement.
• Develop and review layouts and foundation designs in line with specifications, class, and statutory rules for tender, class, owner’s approval, and construction.
• Ensure compliance with fire, safety, watertight integrity, lifesaving, mooring, towing, anchoring, and accommodation layout requirements.
• Review and manage designs, proposals, and technical inputs from external consultants and equipment suppliers, ensuring integration with in-house engineering teams.
• Liaise with ship owners, surveyors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project progress.
• Support new design concepts, provide specialist technical advice across departments, and participate in tests and trials as required.
• Monitor industry developments, classification rules, and standards, ensuring knowledge is applied to design activities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• 7 - 10 years’ experience in engineering design within Marine/Offshore/Oil & Gas industries or Classification Societies.
• Strong knowledge of international design codes, Classification/Statutory rules, and regulations.
• Proven engineering design and project management skills with leadership experience managing teams.
• Expertise in naval architecture, structural, outfitting, and accommodation design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Aveva Marine, NAPA, Microsoft Office, Rhino 3D; CFD software knowledge preferred.
• Advanced 3D modeling skills with CAD software will be an advantage.

• Software sustaining and continuous improvement of current machine’s software.

About the Role

Support sales of explosion-protected lighting, marine-grade wiring, valves/instruments as well as HVAC+R, gas-analysis systems, ultrasonics, water makers, and oil filtration units to marine and offshore clients (yards, shipowners, integrators).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage technical sales cycles from prospecting to closing for products such as EX lights, cable glands, pressure sensors, gas analyzers, ultrasonic antifouling systems, RO water makers, and oil filtration units.
• Conduct on-site surveys at marine/offshore facilities and platforms—e.g., vessel yards in Tuas or shipyards abroad.
• Develop tailored solutions: system proposals, product selection, hazardous area classifications, certifications (DNV, ABS, IMO, Marine CEMS, etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage Supervision Team including planning roster shift duties based on Contractor’s work schedules and oversee leave arrangements.
• Provide supervision services for all C&S and M&E works to ensure that contractors comply with contract/authorities'/agencies' requirements.
• Work with the QP(D) / QP(S) to resolve all design and technical issues arising from the construction of Temporary Works and Permanent Works.

Requirements (C&S):

• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, of which at least 8 years in major construction works in building works, deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, flexible/rigid aircraft pavement, supervising & installation of monitoring instruments and collating of monitoring data.
• Possess a C&S Engineering Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
• Proficient in contract administration with Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
