About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Avaloq Parameterization & Customization

• Configure Avaloq Core Banking modules (workflows, order validations, reports, classifications, code tables).
• Develop Avaloq scripts and packages to support new business requirements.
• Customize Avaloq forms, layouts, and reporting modules

Integration & Interfaces

• Implement Avaloq Message Interface (AMI) and APIs for integration with front-office and third-party systems.
• Work on XML messages, CRM modules, contact management, and notifications.
• Ensure smooth data migration and synchronization across platforms.

System Development & Maintenance

• Design, build, test, and deploy Avaloq solutions ensuring scalability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Avaloq systems.
• Maintain delivery quality through DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Control-M, etc.).

Project & Team Leadership

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Support project managers in planning, estimation, and release management.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of Avaloq parameterization, scripting language (APL), and workflow engine.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL (Oracle databases) and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with unit testing (ATS tests), performance tuning, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Nexus, XL Deploy).

Domain Knowledge

• Solid understanding of private banking and wealth management processes (equities, bonds, FX, loans, payments, security lending/borrowing).
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting (MIFID, FATCA, CRS, EMIR).

Professional Background

• Typically, Over 10 years of IT experience, with at least 8 years in Avaloq development experience.
• Prior involvement in multiple Avaloq implementation projects across different business streams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and systematic thinking approach.

Job Description & Requirements

The Senior Avaloq Tester will be responsible for leading and executing end‑to‑end testing activities across Avaloq Core Banking implementations, enhancements, and regulatory change programs. This role requires deep functional knowledge of Avaloq modules, strong analytical skills and hands‑on experience designing and executing complex test scenarios. The ideal candidate ensures high‑quality delivery, robust defect management, and seamless production readiness.
