• Source and liaise with suppliers for food ingredients, packaging, and kitchen supplies

Job Requirements

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore within the Finance Department in Singapore, the Purchasing Executive is responsible in playing a vital role in assisting to manage the daily operation of the Materials Management department. He/She will communicate and liaise closely with the Director of Purchasing to ensure all activities are conducted smoothly. The Purchasing Executive reports to the Director of Purchasing.

As Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Source and purchase all food & beverage items for the Hotel.
• Assist the team to source non-food items for the Hotel.
• Negotiate with suppliers on prices and quality.
• Check status of delivery for all food items & assist in checking the delivery of non-food items.
• To follow up with suppliers on samples, qualities, and conduct yield test regularly on chilled and frozen food.
