Business Development Executive (Paper & Printing industry)

5 days, 9am-6pm

Salary: $4000 - $5000, negotiable depends on experience

Job scope:

Business Development & Market Expansion:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across printers, converters, packaging companies, and brand owners
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
• Actively promote company’s portfolio of paper and board products into target market segments
• Drive specification of products into brand and packaging projects

Pre-Sales & Technical Consultation:

• Engage customers to understand their application needs (printing, packaging, branding, sustainability goals)
• Recommend suitable paper and board grades based on performance, cost, and end-use requirements
• Provide technical support on printability, runnability, and conversion performance
• Work closely with mills and internal teams to align product offerings with customer requirements

Market Intelligence & Strategy:

• Gather insights on market trends, pricing, competitor activity, and customer needs
• Support product positioning and go-to-market strategies
• Identify opportunities for new product introductions or exclusive representations

Marketing & Industry Engagement:

• Support marketing activities including product launches, presentations, and customer workshops
• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to promote company’s offerings
• Assist in developing sales materials and solution-based presentations

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the print, paper, packaging, or board industry
• Strong understanding of:

Paper and board grades (coated, uncoated, folding boxboard, etc.)

Printing processes (offset, digital, flexo, gravure)

Packaging and branding applications

• Existing network within printers, converters, or brand owners is highly advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with finance to prepare the LC draft and liaise with the counterparty(ies). Handle Letters of Credit and shipping documents and coordinate shipping operations activities.

• Prepare and review all import and export documents, ensuring all documents are compliant as per LC terms, BL checking & switching.

• Updating daily reports of activities during loading barge and mother vessel and compiling the summary report for every shipment. Ensure all operational and trade information is entered into Customer Relationship Management systems.

• Propose and implement initiatives to streamline documentation processes, reduce errors, and enhance overall efficiency.

• Supporting the Marketing Team in providing the necessary information and documents needed for closing a deal.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent.

• With 1 - 3 years of working experience as Import/ Export Executive in shipping company is advantage.

• Knowledge in Trade financing is a must.

• Experience in Letter of credit is a must.

• Good knowledge on Incoterms, Taxation, Import & Export documents and Trade Compliance.

• Experiences in handling multi countries market for Import & Export is a must.

• Good team player with the ability to work independently.

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Reporting to the Senior Centre Manager/ Centre Manager (CM)/ Assistant Centre Manager (ACM)/ Senior Programme Executive (SPE), the Programme Executive (PE) works closely with the Centre in-charge to manage the daily operations of the assigned Active Ageing Centre, so that it can fulfill its intended purposes as stipulated by the funders and LBSA.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Management

· Community Outreach – Assist in the execution of the Community Outreach Plan.

· Relationship Management - Engage community partners, build effective and sustainable partnerships with them to serve the needs of the seniors. Advocate the needs for seniors to external stakeholders and advocate LB’s values & mission in the community.

· Recruitment of Members - Promote and advertise AAC programme to seniors in designate blocks. Assess and recruit new senior as member by using the Community Screener Tool & other trained required tools. Tier new member according to the given criteria.

· Volunteer Management - Identify new volunteers, engage and support volunteers for activities. Provide inputs during volunteer appraisal and make recommendation to VM during annual appreciation & awards presentation.

Day-to-Day Centre Operations

· Programmes and Activities - Assist in collecting data, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes and ensuring that they remain relevant to the 5-dimensions of wellbeing among seniors. Share observation of seniors in need to Senior Programme Executive/Befriending Executive.

Financial Reporting

· Adhere to planned budget allocated to the Centre. Ensure proper documentation of finance-related transactions

Other Duties

· Any other responsibilities as assigned by the SCM/ CM/ ACM/ SPE

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Related qualification in working with the elderly or in the social service sector

- At least 1 year of experience in direct operational work (especially in the area of Eldercare), such as conducting and evaluating programmes/ activities; conducting of needs assessment

- Has some prior experience in stakeholder management, especially in working with community partners.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office

- Enjoy working with seniors and volunteers

- Good administrative skills

- Good problem-solving skills

- Good interpersonal skills, a team player, yet able to work independently

- Good communications skills, preferably bilingual with dialects

- Have volunteer experience in elder care sector
