RESPONSIBILITIES

The Programme Executive (Outreach and Engagement) works with their assigned centres to execute programmes to facilitate the interactions and engagement between the community and the clients/caregivers. He/ she works with the community partners and volunteers for these outreach and engagement programmes and guides the centre and volunteers in executing the programme activities. He/she also collaborates and establishes relationships with volunteers, grassroots organisations, and community partners to fulfil MINDS' vision of outreach and serving the unserved and underserved segment of the ID population in Singapore through the centre's operations. The Programme Executive is responsible for the planning, designing, coordination of activities and programmes promote the active participation, meaningful engagement and learning of clients from the Centre with the community partners and volunteers.  He/ she will work in close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Allied Health Professionals such as the Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, physiotherapist, and/ or Speech Language Therapist, and Training Officers when designing the programmes. These programmes can be at the centre or outside of the centres.

The Programme Executive should have great communication, time management & problem-solving skills. They should be able to work well both independently & in a team with integrity, sensitivity, knowledge and drive to support & advocate for their clients with intellectual disability.

Networking and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders within the community

• Develop and establish professional or social networks with the local community to leverage on community resources and volunteers to meet the various needs of the clients in the centre.
• Maintain and manage relationships with the community stakeholders for sustained efforts in volunteerism, and opportunities for clients in community participation, integration and inclusion
• Coordinate recruitment, deployment, training, and appreciation of community stakeholders
• Connect, consult, and collaborate with relevant community partners, and be a catalyst for action in raising disability awareness and inclusion in the relevant boundary where the centre operates

Programme / Curriculum planning, implementation & evaluation

• Design and plan programmes/ activities to promote learning, participation and meaningful engagement between the clients in the centre with the local community and volunteers.
• Implement the programme/ activities in collaboration with the Training Officers and/ or Multi-Disciplinary Team members in the centre
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the programme/ activities

Run daily operations and activities at the Centre's Community Inclusive Space/Drop-in Centre

• Execute schedules and programmes for the clients, caregivers in the community inclusive space.
• Orientation, recognition and retention of volunteers and community partners
• Ensure the safety and well-being of community partners, volunteers and clients during programme activities, including risk assessment and management
• Execute the work processes to ensure smooth running of the Community Inclusive Space, which includes but not limited to the retail, workshop and drop-in centre portions of the space.

JOB PURPOSE

Provide planning, development, and implementation of key activities and initiatives aimed at building up the national donor pool as well as maintaining and growing our pool of dedicated volunteers.

Working in close partnership with key stakeholders from Blood Services Group (BSG) and Singapore Red Cross (SRC), the incumbent will engage educational institutions, corporate, government, and community organisations to educate, recruit, retain, and recognise blood donors while organising community blood drives and group donations to build the national blood supply.

In addition, she/he will recruit, mobilise and engage eligible volunteers to support relevant public education, donor engagement, tele-recruitment, outreach activities and blood-donation-related activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Gain an in-depth understanding of their Bloodmobile Organiser (BMO) portfolios, including identifying past collection trends and collaboration histories

● Work closely with the Head of Operations to develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain and recognise blood donors

● Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote blood donation and organise blood drives in the community

● Undertake outreach and engagement activities towards expanding the donor pool (especially youths), including planning and organising roadshows, guided tours in the bloodbank, conducting educational talks in schools, community partners etc

The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. The Programme Shared Services (PSS) provides specialized research administration support to Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine’s 8 Research Programmes and their directors.  It sits within the ambit of Research Administration and Support Services Department under the Vice Dean of Research Office.
