About the Role
The Centre for Epidemic Response & Modelling (CERM) at NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health is recruiting two Research Associates/Assistants to support a diverse portfolio of research projects at the intersection of infectious disease modelling, Bayesian inference, AI, and public health. Projects span AI-driven epidemic forecasting, transmission modelling in the ASEAN region, social network dynamics and use for large language models for public good. Successful candidates will be embedded in a multidisciplinary team working with epidemiologists, clinicians, biostatisticians, data scientists, and public health agencies.

We welcome candidates with complementary skill profiles. One position is oriented towards computational/statistical modelling; the other towards data engineering, visualisation, and software development. Both positions involve hands-on research work and will suit candidates looking to build a strong research track record before or alongside a PhD. The postholder will work with Asst. Core responsibilities:

• Assist CRO to plan and launch public relation programs for the construction projects, such as preparing circulars, letters and notices.
• Conduct survey on existing condition, such as: spalling concrete and ceiling leakage etc. as well as taking measurement.
• Plan and coordinate assigned work to be carried out in a timely manner.
• Handle enquires, feedback and complaints pertaining to the projects as well as follow-up on actions to resolve it.
• Work closely and ensure smooth operation procedure during upgrading work between the relevant parties such as residents, contractors, consultants and authorities like the Town Councils and Housing Development Board (HDB) etc. as well as take proactive measures in mitigating complaints arising from the construction activities.
• Show, explain and demonstrate to residents and/or tenants the location and purpose of retrofits provisions.
• Maintain good rapport and positive relations with the residents and/or tenants.
• Conduct regular visits to residents and/ or tenants affected by the works to gather feedback and keep them posted of the work schedule’s changes and impacts.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties.

We are looking for a Junior UX Designer (1–2 years of experience) to join the team. This role is ideal for an early-career designer who is eager to grow their craft, learn how real products are built, and contribute meaningfully to user outcomes under the guidance of more experienced designers.

You will work on real product features end to end - supporting research, designing flows and interfaces, and collaborating closely with product managers and engineers. You'll also learn how to design within a shared design system and understand how good UX scales across products.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in UX, UI, or Product Design (including internships or full-time roles).
• A portfolio showcasing your design thinking, process, and outcomes.
• Basic understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and usability.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma.
• Ability to communicate design ideas clearly, verbally and visually.
• Openness to feedback and a strong learning mindset.
• Exposure to user research methods (e.g. interviews, usability testing).

This is a Customer Relations role based at construction sites for HDB/upgrading projects. You’ll handle residents’ feedback and complaints, coordinate with contractors and authorities, conduct site visits, and assist with communications and admin work. It’s a site-based, permanent role with salary based on experience, ideal for candidates with strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
