Job Summary:

Responsible for proposing, managing and supervising all maintenance activities of the golf courses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and prioritize work, monitor course conditions and worker productivity, implement training and keeping records. Develop alternate plans adaptable to changing conditions.
• Roster course maintenance staff and supervise work being carried out to achieve the highest course maintenance standards.
• Inspection of the course condition on a daily basis and preparing weekly miscellaneous works summary for action to be carried out.
• Supervise the preparation of course for major tournaments.
• Perform monthly stock-take of fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides and ensuring stock cards are properly maintained.
• Work closely with maintenance supervisors on the up-keep of course maintenance equipment.
• Perform physical check on the condition of the course equipment on a weekly basis and prepare repair request as and when necessary. Propose for the acquisition of course maintenance equipment.
• Recruit and train new course maintenance staff.
• Maintain and submit staff records such as attendance, overtime, medical etc.
• Attend monthly Greens Sub-Committee and Staff meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual course maintenance expenses budget.
• Plan, design and maintain all landscape and horticultural work involved within the Club premises.
• Supervise tree planting projects and any other projects as assigned by the Greens Sub-Committee.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of golf play, course design and turf management.
• An eye for detail to ensure quality control for tasks and highly motivated, quality driven and results oriented individual.Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Positive attitude towards fostering teamwork among associates in support role.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to lead, motivate a large team of staff, adapt, embraces strong cultural diversity and work in multi-ethnic team.
• Able to commence immediate employment or within short notice will be an added advantage.

Job Scope:

• Segregate handbook content across various academic departments and further categorises it based on course requirements in preparation for the annual handbook review.

• Updates relevant course synopses with approved content from Board of Studies (BOS) papers to ensure alignment with current curriculum standards.

• Develops and maintains a tracking document to record all changes made by faculty and MSO staff, allowing the Reviewing Officer (RO) and Head of Department (HOD) to easily reference updates.

• Coordinates with faculty and EO representatives to review and update segregated content, including dormant courses, during the handbook review period.

• Collates and validates all returned updates to confirm accuracy and determine whether BOS paper submissions are required.

• Compiles reviewed materials into a draft copy and ensures formatting consistency across departments.

• Submits the draft for vetting by the RO and subsequent approval by the HOD.

• Prepares the final softcopy of the handbook for publication on the institutional website.

• Performs other administrative duties as assigned to support the department’s academic operations and documentation processes.

Requirements:

• Able to commit for 2-months with no leave
• No working experience needed but must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook and OneDrive)
• Min. educational requirement: O Level
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results with attention to detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with admin staff and faculty members
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours: Mondays – Thursdays: 8.30 a.m. – 5.45. p.m, Fridays: 8.30 a.m. – 5.15 p.m.

Contract Period: 2 months

Salary: $2000/month
