About the Role
The Centre for Epidemic Response & Modelling (CERM) at NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health is recruiting two Research Associates/Assistants to support a diverse portfolio of research projects at the intersection of infectious disease modelling, Bayesian inference, AI, and public health. Projects span AI-driven epidemic forecasting, transmission modelling in the ASEAN region, social network dynamics and use for large language models for public good. Successful candidates will be embedded in a multidisciplinary team working with epidemiologists, clinicians, biostatisticians, data scientists, and public health agencies.

We welcome candidates with complementary skill profiles. One position is oriented towards computational/statistical modelling; the other towards data engineering, visualisation, and software development. Both positions involve hands-on research work and will suit candidates looking to build a strong research track record before or alongside a PhD. The postholder will work with Asst. Prof. Swapnil Mishra (Deputy Director, CERM and AI for Public Health Programme) and engage an active network of collaborators spanning CERM, NUS, Imperial College London, Ashoka University, the Communicable Diseases Agency Singapore (CDA), the National Environment Agency Singapore (NEA), the Machine Learning & Global Health Network (MLGH), and wider regional and global partners.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement and test statistical and computational models for infectious disease dynamics (compartmental models, Bayesian inference, phylogenetic analysis, or machine learning pipelines depending on profile).
• Process, clean, and analyse large-scale epidemiological, genomic, and/or mobility datasets.
• Develop data visualisation tools and contribute to interactive surveillance dashboards.

Job Summary

You will provide chairside clinical assistance during oral surgery procedures and perform administrative tasks in a busy specialist oral surgery practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during oral surgery procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Prepare and maintain clinical instruments and equipment for oral surgery treatments
• Manage patient records and perform administrative duties to support clinic operations
• Communicate clearly in English and/or Mandarin to assist patients and team members
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment following health and safety protocols
• Work full-time Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 5:30 pm) and Saturdays (8:30 am to 12:30 pm) with no night shifts

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• At least one year of dental assisting experience in a clinical or oral surgery setting
• Proficiency in English and/or Mandarin to facilitate patient communication

Other Information

• Salary range from $2000 to $2800 monthly

Key Requirements:

• Prepare monthly/ yearly full set of accounts including reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules in accordance with the Company’s accounting policies
• Prepare GST submissions
• Analyze and report financial results to Management including income statement and balance sheet variances
• Supervise accounts payables tracking, reconciliation against vendor statements and match against job costing sheets
• Supervise and review payment process
• Process staff claims in accordance with Company’s policies
• Liaise with and support auditors on completion of annual audits
• Any other ad-hoc tasks from Management

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of commercial experience is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office Applications
• Diploma or equivalent and above
• Knowledge of UBS/MadSoft accounting system and experience will be an advantage
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision

  Job Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing
• Experience in video shooting and editing
• Familiar with tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar
• Understanding of different platform styles and formats (XHS, TikTok, IG & Youtube Shorts)
• Organised, proactive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Being comfortable appearing on camera occasionally would be an advantage.
• Willing to work overtime during critical periods as and when required
• Able to complete tasks within deadlines and work well under pressure
• Good problem solving skill and negotiation skill
• Result orientated in a fast pace and multi-task environment
• Able to attend to emergency call due to project and works needs after office hours
• Undertake any other duties assigned by management from time to time
• 6 working days per week
