About the Role:

We are currently seeking a motivated Sales & Marketing Intern to support business development and customer engagement within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.

The intern will gain hands-on experience in sourcing new customers, and supporting the management of customer accounts. This role provides exposure to real-world sales processes and client relationship management.

You will work closely with internal teams to support daily sales activities, coordinate customer interactions, and contribute to delivering reliable logistics solutions. This internship offers valuable learning opportunities in sales, marketing, and the logistics industry while building a strong foundation for future career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sourcing and identification of potential customers through research and outreach.
• Assist in customer acquisition and account coordination activities 
• Support procurement processes including vendor sourcing, price comparison and negotiation
• Assist with cold calling and scheduling customer appointments 
• Support in preparation of quotations, proposals, and assisting in basic sales reports 
• Support customer communication and follow-ups 
• Assist in website creation and maintenance to enhance branding and online presence.
• Provide general and operational support to the Sales and Marketing Team 

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• Currently pursuing Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, correlated discipline 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Proactive,willing to learn, and able to take initiative
• Basic knowledge or interest in sales and marketing is preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
• Knowledge of PowerPoint, Canva, or website tools is an advantage 
• This is a non-convertible internship position

You will be part of our Contract Logistics team, adding your knowledge and perspective to the delivery of Customer & Operational Excellence.

Your Responsibilities

As a Contract Logistics Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting warehouse operations and contributing to various projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Compile, analyze, and interpret logistics data to provide actionable insights.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, such as implementing lean practices.
• Support the implementation of warehouse layout improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Support the testing and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or other logistics software.
• Support various administrative tasks and processes related to customer accounts.
• Communicate with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates on orders.
• Conducting market research to identify industry trends and key influences.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).
• Basic knowledge of supply chain management concepts and logistics operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• A commitment to a 6-month internship is required.

About the Programme
The Medical Chaperone & Transportation (MCT) programme supports elderly persons and persons with disabilities by providing affordable wheelchair-accessible transport and medical chaperone services to and from healthcare facilities. The programme helps beneficiaries who face mobility challenges and may not have family support or the financial means to engage private transport services. By ensuring safe transportation and accompaniment to medical appointments, treatments and follow-up care, MCT helps beneficiaries maintain regular access to essential healthcare while easing the financial and logistical burden on them and their caregivers.

Job Purpose
To support vulnerable individuals in accessing essential healthcare by coordinating timely and reliable MCT services, ensuring safe, dignified transport and care through effective referral, assessment and operational coordination.

Job Responsibilities

Client Referral, Assessment & Care Coordination

1. Manage end-to-end client referrals and service requests from community partners, healthcare institutions and the public
2. Review and triage incoming referrals, and monitor service demand as well as trends to support resource allocation and capacity planning
3. Conduct phone assessments to understand clients’ needs and coordinate home visits where required to further assess service suitability
4. Coordinate service initiation for new clients to ensure timely onboarding
5. Support discharge arrangements to ensure safe and smooth care transitions where required

Case Management & Service Coordination

1. Provide support to the Project Coordinator, Operations in the management of client bookings and scheduling ensuring operational efficiency and continuity
2. Create and maintain service cases within the MCT digital suite to support timely and efficient service delivery to clients
3. Review client cases when required and coordinate follow-ups to assess service suitability and implement appropriate adjustments

Administration & Service Support

1. Maintain accurate client and referral records, assessments and service arrangements records to support operational tracking and compliance
2. Manage follow-ups on outstanding client payments to facilitate timely settlement of service fees
3. Collaborate with the team to plan and execute the annual client satisfaction survey contributing to continuous service improvement
4. Support programme communications, meeting coordination and notetaking
5. Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Job Specifications
Qualifications and Experience
1. Possess a Diploma from a recognised institution
2. Prior exposure to healthcare, social service or community care settings with an understanding of client mobility and care needs will be an advantage

We are looking for a hands-on International Logistics Specialist to support our overseas logistics operations across Southeast Asia. This role will focus on executing and optimizing cross-border logistics processes, and gradually building a more structured and standardized regional logistics system. This role will involve travel within Southeast Asia to support overseas logistics operations and on-site coordination when required.

International Logistics Operations

• Handle end-to-end import/export operations for food ingredients (including chilled/frozen), packaging materials, and equipment
• Coordinate shipment booking, documentation, and delivery with freight forwarders

Customs & Cross-border Coordination

• Manage and follow up on import/export documentation (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, etc.)
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and brokers on customs clearance processes
• Ensure compliance with cross-border regulations

Freight Forwarder Management

• Support sourcing, evaluation, and daily management of logistics vendors
• Coordinate with freight forwarders for inbound, import, and export operations
• Compare quotations, assist in contract coordination, and monitor service quality
• Maintain effective collaboration with freight forwarders

Shipment Tracking & Exception Handling

• Track shipments end-to-end and provide timely updates

• Handle logistics exceptions (delays, customs issues, documentation gaps) and ensure closure

Cost Control & Settlement

• Verify freight costs for each shipment and ensure accuracy
• Track monthly logistics expenses and support cost control
• Handle invoice verification and payment follow-up

Data Analysis & Process Improvement

• Analyze logistics data (cost, lead time, exceptions)
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose optimization solutions
• Support standardization and digitalization of logistics processes

Requirement:

• 3–6 years of experience in international logistics / cross-border operations
• Hands-on experience in Freight Forwarder Management
• Experience in customs clearance is preferred

Job Scope:

• Assist in sending marketing emails and follow-ups to potential and existing customers

• Support lead generation activities (research companies, contacts, basic data collection)

• Follow up on sales enquiries and quotations via email

• Maintain and update customer database / CRM records

• Coordinate with internal operations team for basic shipment information

• Assist in preparing simple sales reports and tracking responses

Responsibilities

IOR/EOR Operations & Documentation:

• Assist in pricing, coordinating and managing the end-to-end IOR/EOR process for global shipments.
• Coordinate with customers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance and delivery of goods.
• Verify shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and organised records of all shipments, customs entries, and compliance-related documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of import/export permits, declarations, and other required trade documents.

Agent Communication, Sourcing & Pricing:

• Collaborate with agents to gather required information and ensure compliance with local regulations. 
• Support pricing discussions and negotiations with partners to achieve competitive and sustainable rates.
• Identify and source new overseas agents or service partners when required to support operational and pricing needs.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with existing and new partners.

Regulatory Trade & Compliance:

• Stay updated on customs regulations and trade policies in various countries.
• Ensure all shipments comply with relevant import/export laws and guidelines.

Problem Resolution & Ad-hoc:

• Identify and resolve operational issues, such as shipment delays, missing documents, or customs holds.
• Escalate critical issues to the relevant department as needed.
• Provide general administrative support to the operations team as required.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 1 - 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or trade operations.
• Familiarity with IOR/EOR processes and international trade regulations is a plus.
• With knowledge of APAC trade regulations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
