Job Description

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Project Management Officer (PMO) / Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to join our AI Product group that delivers challenging, enterprise-scale Video Content Analytics solutions to global customers. You will conform to high standards of project planning and management, working in a cutting-edge, dynamic and professionally challenging environment.

Successful interns may be offered a full-time permanent position at cynapse at the end of the internship period.

As a Project Management Officer (PMO) / Quality Assurance (QA) Intern, you will:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of Vision AI Software Projects or Programs in Singapore and other countries
• Support multiple ongoing projects
• Assist with the project planning, resourcing and scheduling
• Assist in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, and provide timely reports on project status and activities Assist in requirements gathering and validation, solution development and testing, deployment, UAT and solution commissioning
• With guidance, perform usage tests on software thoroughly, identifying bugs and defects.
• Evaluate different functionalities and aspects of the product and generate reports.
• Assist in communicating and managing vendors, sub-contractors, partners and other stakeholders
• Follow the company PM best practices
• Work in an Agile environment (SCRUM)

The selected candidate will be involved in one or more job items listed above, depending on management decision.

Minimum Qualification:

• Completed at least 1 year of studies as part of a Diploma, Bachelor or Master in one of the following subjects: IT | Engineering | Project Management
• At least 6 months of experience in managing or delivering IT project(s).
• Some Experience with vendors and partner management
• Analytical Thinking
• Innovative, motivated and a quick learner, attention to detail, curiosity, and passion for technology
• Bonus: Technical background/experience with software development

Duration:

• Available for at least a 6-month internship.
• Able to work at least 4 days a week (Preferably full-time / 5 days a week).
• We are flexible with start and end dates and allow flexibility to accommodate exams, leave etc.

Contract length: 6 months

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive quality assurance reviews of internal audit engagements, covering planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the application of the Risk Control Matrix (RCM) to identify, assess, and document key risks in business processes, and evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of controls.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of audit methodologies, tools, and practices, recommending enhancements as necessary.
• Participate and support both ongoing internal assessments and periodic external assessments of the internal audit function, in line with IIA requirements.
• Support the preparation of quality assurance review reports, including findings, root cause analysis, and actionable recommendations, to Global Quality Assurance, Head of APAC Internal Audit Department, and Chief Audit Executive (CAE).
• Support the development of key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal audit function.
• Track and report the implementation of quality assurance recommendations, driving continuous improvement.
• Support the development and delivery of training programs to enhance audit staff skills and promote best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of review processes, findings, and recommendations, providing accessibility for future reference and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor and verify compliance with the IIA Definition of Internal Auditing, the Code of Ethics, IIA Standards, the internal audit manual, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the development of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends, and communicate relevant updates to the internal audit team.
• Collaborate with global and regional Quality Assurance teams and act as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies on quality assurance matters.
  

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within internal audit in the financial services industry, or with an external audit firm, is preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CAMS, CA, CPA, CISA, CISM, or equivalent, is preferred.
• Experience in internal audit, quality assurance, and knowledge of risk management frameworks, preferably within the financial services industry.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to analyze emerging risk trends, and familiarity with regulatory compliance (i.e., JFSA, MAS, HKMA, RBI) and risk management frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and capable of presenting excellent written deliverables.
• Self-motivated and tenacious with a commitment to excellence.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Adaptable and able to multitask and perform under strict deadlines.
• Willing to travel within the Asia Pacific region from time to time.

Job Summary

Develop and execute comprehensive test cases to validate software functionality and quality. Perform manual, functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify defects and ensure product reliability. Report and document technical issues clearly to support timely resolution. Prepare and maintain detailed testing documentation to support quality assurance processes.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive testing documentation to support quality assurance and audit requirements
• Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure software meets quality standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Currently pursuing or graduated with a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Previous experience in Quality Assurance or software testing roles is advantageous
• Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking tools is a plus
• Prior hands-on testing experience is beneficial
