We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Accounts & Finance Intern to join our team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in accounting and finance functions, providing exposure to daily financial operations and reporting processes while supporting the overall finance team.

What you'll be doing!

1. Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and reconciliation of accounts.
2. Support daily accounting operations such as bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records.
3. Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and data analysis for management review.
4. Assist with month-end closing activities, audit preparation, and documentation filing.
5. Perform administrative and other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company.

What we'll need from you!

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
5. Positive attitude, willing to learn, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Finance Executive, the Accounts Intern is to provide support in all aspects of the accounting function of the company.

Core responsibilities:

• Support in year-end and monthly closing, reconciliation, preparation of financial statements, GST reporting, cash flow and year-end audit.
• Help to handle data entry of accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Prepare schedules for external auditors during year-end audit, support Supervisor in suppliers and customers on billing and payment matters.
• Assist in dataentry for indirect procurement and preparing purchase orders.
• Assist in observing and verifying inventory count and reconciliation.
• Support and make active contributions to productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives across all departments (as and when required).
• Any other duties as and when assigned by Supervisor and Finance Manager
