To be responsible for WSHO activities in the following :

1.       Support the Project Manager in the overall implementation of the ISO EHS Management System.

2.       Implement EHS measures in accordance with applicable legislative requirements and/or specific risk assessment & safework procedures.

3.       Conduct monthly mass toolbox meetings to enhance EHS awareness among workers.

4.       Co-ordinate with Safety Co-ordinator, Environment Control Officer and Lifting Supervisor on

day-to-day EHS activities at site.

5.       Collates summary data from EHS inspection failures by EHS personnel (MOM / NEA summons /court orders / demerit points / EHS incidents / accidents ) to perform data analysis (root cause analysis) to facilitate problem-solving (recommendations on corrective actions) for continual improvement.

6.       Follow-up daily EHS inspection with subcontracted safety coordinator and maintain its records.

7.       Recommend “STOP WORK NOTICE / SWN” to subcontractor associated with critical EHS violations that could lead to fatalities / injuries, dangerous occurrences & occupational diseases. This will be notified to Project Manager for temporary suspension of work based on high risk and area of concern.

8.       Implement Permit-To-Work System for hazardous activities on site.

9.       Ensure all plant and equipment (machinery / electrical tools) have valid inspection with its test records / certificates by Authorised Examiner / Approved Person / LEW.

10.   Review specific risk assessment and safework procedures submitted by subcontractor.

11.   Assist Project Manager / Site Manager in co-ordination of site works to eliminate or reduce risks.

12.   Assist Project Manager on completion of EHS appointment letters and keep the records on site.

13.   Conduct emergency drills to promote and enhance workers’ safety awareness and familiarization of the assembly area.

14.   Conduct EHS powerpoint slide presentation to Client / Consultant / CNQC HQ EHS committee on monthly basis.

15.   Follow-up regular HDB / NEA / MOM inspection visit and rectify non-conformity / observation photos timely with appropriate measures in accordance to applicable legislative requirements or otherwise stated under approved code of practices.

16.   Promote and conduct safe time out activities due to safety / housekeeping lapse.

17.   Ensure new workers are briefed for safety induction prior to commencing work.

18.   Ensure daily toolbox meetings are conducted by safety co-ordinator and its records are kept and maintained.

Roles & Responsibilities

a) Perform environmental control/enforcement support to the team.

b) Identify any foreseeable risk of pollution arising from the workplace or work processes.

c) Propose practical action to eliminate any foreseeable ill-health, prevention of pollution at workplace.

d) Any other ad hoc duties required or assigned by Management that are relevant to the project.

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience
• knowledge of all relevant environmental policies, legislations, and guidelines, independent, with strong discipline and accountability.

Electrical Equipment Installation, Testing & Commissioning activities of Traction Substation and associated Power Equipment to execute and complete the Works at all assigned MRT stations.

He shall carry out all equipment testing activities in site related to project and will lead team of junior engineers / technicians etc.,

He shall be responsible to answer the technical query raised by LTA / SMRT officials.

He shall be obedient to LTA /SMRT representatives in all work site to satisfy them.

Responsibility for coordinating and enforcing all safety and environmental required by LTA / SMRT. He shall perform tasks under limited supervision which includes performing and ensuring conformance with approved procedures and methods.

Ensures that all testing activities carried out in a safe and environmentally compliant manner and endeavors to enhance and protect the safety of site employees.

Scheduling and allocation of job for the day today activities in coordination with immediate supervisor.

Prepare test reports upon completion of site acceptance tests and submit to immediate Managers with in two days.

Ensures all testing activities are carried out as per the approved procedures and amend any improvements suggested / commended by LTA / SMRT

Observe the progress of testing activity every day and report the progress to site Manager.

Shall prepare red markup drawings according to the site condition and approved modification.

Responsible for relay test kit such as Omicron, ESSA, FREJA etc.

Test Engineer shall carry out all the necessary testing and support required for the above equipment in different phases of projects such as Testing, Commissioning, interface, Integration phases.

Must be prepared for 24/7 support for smooth operation of SMRT
