We’re hiring a GPS Engineer to support new product design, introduction, and field readiness for our vacuum mainframe platform products in Singapore. • Assist the Chief Engineer to oversees the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel.

• Be responsible to ensure that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

• Assist the Chief Engineer in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.

• Assist the Chief Engineer to coordinate projects with general contractor and sub-contractor, and ensure quality work is performed cost-effectively

• Assist Chief Engineer to develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimise expenses

• Educate and train all engineering colleagues in compliance with governmental and safety regulations

• Ensure the team is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties

• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments

• Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.

What We Need From You

• Certified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• Five years operating experience in a hotel engineering department

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory position in a hotel engineering department or a related field with a proven record of accomplishment or success.

• Experience in hotel renovation is an advantage

• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering

• Highly committed to delivering a high level of guests experience

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, particularly to deal effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• ensures all drawings, bills of materials, purchase requisitions and quality checks are completed as per project schedule and ISO 9001 processes.
• conducts Design Reviews to analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent degree in related technical field desired
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience in mechanical engineering and material handling systems across various industries.
• SolidWorks or AutoCAD experience desired
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principle involved in production of precision technical drawings, and models
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to design and production
• Knowledge of design principles, steel and aluminum part creation, sub assembly and pneumatics.
• Ability to work independently in designing and liaising with customers on technical specifications and requirements

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients to supervise the work to ensure that the quality and schedule of the work are adhered to base on laws and regulations.
• Ability to understand the design objectives, systems and budgets of projects.
• Coordinate with supplier / sub-contractor of the tender specification and obtain the quotation from them.
• Check and ensure the equipment and material offered in compliance with the specification and drawings.
• Prepare weekly work schedules, and documents.
• Ensure proper execution of the temporary works as planned.
• Control and supervise workmen and subcontractors to make sure standards of building performance, quality, time and cost schedules, and safety are complied with.
• Oversee and be overall responsible for works carried out by junior supervisors assigned under his/her care.
• Responsible for keeping daily work record, including additional work claims to the clients and from the subcontractors.
• Prepare progress reports to consultants and owners.
• Any ad-hoc project to be assigned.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Must have minimum 3-5 years of M&E working experience in ACMV/ HVAC, Service and Maintenance of Air-Con
• Strong knowledge of M&E details, working drawings and local construction practices

6. Documentation and Reporting

Document and track project variations and delays for claims and contractual matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
