Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to support our Financial Shared Service Centre (“FSSC”) in managing the organization's accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate is independent, meticulous, and capable of handling full sets of accounts in a dynamic service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely recording of business transactions.
• Perform monthly and year-end closing, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Manage invoices, monitor collections, and manage accounts receivable aging.
• Process vendor invoices, payment runs, and staff reimbursement claims in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit GST returns and related schedules.
• Process general ledger entries and ensure transactions are properly supported by relevant documentation (e.g., invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, journals).
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities on audit, tax, and statutory matters, when necessary.
• Support the Financial Shared Service Centre functions.
• Assist in ad-hoc assignments/projects/duties as assigned by superiors.

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
• Able to perform full set of accounts independently.
• Able to process documentation in both English and Mandarin to communicate effectively.
• Familiar with accounting systems such as SAP/SAGE/SAP Concur. Knowledge of Cognos is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and Word skills.
• Strong attention to detail, meticulous, and a team player with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels.
• Familiar with Singapore accounting standards, GST regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Holder of a valid Master Mariner Certificate of Competency (CoC) or equivalent maritime qualification.
• Strong knowledge of tanker operations, navigation, cargo handling, safety management systems and maritime regulations.

Experience

• Previous sailing experience as a Master or Chief Officer onboard bunker tankers is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant shore-based experience in a bunker tanker management company.
• Experience in conducting vessel inspections, navigational audits, incident investigations and compliance management.
• Familiarity with Oil Major requirements, ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC 2006, MARPOL, SOLAS and Flag State requirements.
• Experience in managing bunker tanker operations will be an added advantage.

• Take charge of MindFlex's B2B arm and work with tuition centres, government agencies & educational institutes.
• Schedule interviews (phonecall, online, face-to-face) between tutors and organisations
• Manage confirmation contracts & invoices for clients
• Provide after-sales service to clients (and tutors)

Internal Processes:

• Work with customised back-end software, specially designed to fulfil the company's business needs & improve efficiency
• Maintain cohesive inter-department and intra-department relations, ensure good customer handover between colleagues
• Take charge of designating clients to various teams (traffic control), depending on each team's existing workload
• Maintain an organised record of clients for different departments to contact and follow-up with in future

• Analyse company's past data, to forecast trends and assist in Business Development plans
