RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead multiple project teams of system software engineers and development partners through all phases of design and development, including solution design, analysis, testing, and integration.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with internal teams and external partners (ODMs, IHVs) for system software design and development.
• Review and assess designs and project activities for compliance with standards, providing actionable feedback to improve quality and reduce risk.
• Provide domain expertise and system software leadership across cross-functional projects and programs.
• Drive innovation and integrate emerging technologies into system software design and development.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Min. 3 years of relevant work experience in system engineering or programming.
• Strong proficiency in software systems design tools and programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with Windows OS and device driver development.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of system software architecture and integration across multiple platforms.
• Skilled in software testing methodologies, including test plan creation, debugging, and automation tools.
• Outstanding communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to present architectures, negotiate design options, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with bus-level protocols (USB, PCIe, I2C) and debugging techniques is advantageous.

What will you do as a Maintenance Engineer / Senior Engineer?

As a Maintenance Senior Engineer, you will interface with develop a 3-Year Maintenance Plan and Preventive Maintenance Program.You will also plan and execute sustaining and service / growth Capex, ensure maintenance Optimization and continuous improvement as well as troubleshoot technical problems, equipment, and system failures, conduct RCFA and develop improvement plan as needed.

What do we expect from you as a Maintenance Engineer / Senior Engineer?

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in related field
• Exposure & experience in industrial standard (API, ASME and equivalent)
• Familiarity with API 653 and/or 570 is an advantage
• In depth knowledge of products, equipment in terminal
• Project & maintenance experience
• Strong data analysis acumen and ability to transform findings into opportunities for improvement.
• Good knowledge of maintenance, operations, safety and product knowledge.
• Knowledge of safety, health and environment regulations and practices

Your core responsibilities are:

• Responsible for developing the 3-year maintenance plan and consulted with the Maintenance Manager, Planner Maintenance and Supervisor Maintenance to get their input
• Responsible for identifying whether an asset requires preventive maintenance, based on risk assessments & asset criticality review, regulatory & statutory requirements, Vopak standards, maintenance policies and analysis of the maintenance history
• Responsible for determining and adjusting the required preventive maintenance for an asset: specifying what type of preventive maintenance must be performed on a regular basis, possible adjustments based on manufacturers’ instructions, legislation requirements, Vopak standard requirements and/or status of warranty
• Responsible for identifying with what frequency preventive maintenance work orders must be executed
• Responsible for establishing which default activities, standard procedures and required tools are needed as part of the preventive maintenance Work orders and consult with the Planner to get his input on the scope of work and default activities
• Responsible for adding a cost estimate to the PM schedule
• Responsible for identifying the information required in the inspection reports
• Responsible for terminal asset lifecycle management
• Identify Capex required based on business or sustainability needs of the terminal
• Study and develop scope of work & costs estimates
• Perform tenders for the Capex projects
• Execute the Capex projects in line with applicable Vopak standards such as Management of Change (MOC) and Vopak Project Management (VPM)
• Support on asset data management
• Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and / or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements
• Analyse inspection reports and proposes recommendations & action items via Work Out Of Inspection.
• Propose improvements / ideas for opportunities to achieve increased efficiency and productivity
• Perform maintenance analysis
• Perform relatively simple quality sampling and inspection of assets or processes (or both)
• Support and guide the technicians on more complex issues
• Determine root cause for equipment and system failures and recommend corrective measures
• Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan
• Facilitate internal and external audits as such authorities audits & customers’ audits
• Lead or support on corporate initiatives or pilot rollouts
• Training of Maintenance and Operations technicians

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead system and software safety activities across the full system lifecycle as subject matter expert in System or Software Safety, provide support to operational teams in System / Software Safety requirements for system / product / solution offered by company

• Develop and maintain System Safety Programme Plan (SSPP) and Software SSPP

• Identify, analyse, assess, mitigate, and track system and software hazards to closure

• Lead project engineers in Hazard Identification and conduct Hazard Analyses, Functional Hazard Assessment, develop mitigation measures to address hazards identified

• Maintain and control the Hazard Log, including residual risk acceptance

• Perform risk classification and safety criticality assessment

• Ensure risk mitigation follows the design order of precedence

• Execute System Assurance (SA) activities in accordance with contractual requirements

• Define, manage, and demonstrate compliance to RAMS objectives (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety)

• Perform and review RAM and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) related analyses (e.g.FMECA, reliability, availability, maintainability)

• Provide support to address ILS requirements for product/system/solution offered by the company

• Generate related ILS and RAM documentation

• Manage FRACAS and corrective actions

• Plan and conduct Safety & RAM Verification and Validation (V&V)

• Prepare and approve safety deliverables (e.g. Safety Assessment Report (SAR), Software Safety Assessment Report (SwSAR), RAMS, V&V reports)

• Support Authority reviews, audits, and safety boards

• Interface with Engineering, QA, and Project teams while maintaining independent safety judgement

• Attend review meetings and System Safety Board / Forum to clear all System Safety issues as well as related RAM/ILS

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Systems, or equivalent)

• Prefer to have System & Software Safety experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in System Safety, Software Safety, or System Assurance (RAMS)

• Working knowledge of hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety lifecycle processes

• Familiarity with SSPP / Software SSPP, RAMS concepts, and safety deliverables (e.g. SAR, SwSAR)
