Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AI and machine learning systems, including model training pipelines, inference infrastructure, and feature engineering frameworks, to power Meta's core products
• Develop and optimize large-scale AI models — including large language models, generative AI systems, and ranking and recommendation models — from prototype through production deployment
• Leverage AI tools and workflows as a force multiplier to expand technical scope across modeling, data analysis, and operational readiness within a single project lifecycle
• Establish and maintain robust evaluation frameworks, automated testing, and monitoring pipelines to ensure reliability and quality of AI systems in production
• Own the technical design of AI components and systems, evaluating architectural trade-offs to meet well-defined product and business requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on building and deploying machine learning or AI systems in production environments
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and serving at scale
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and proficiency in Python for AI and data engineering workflows
• Experience applying experimentation methodologies — including A/B testing and metric design — to evaluate AI model performance and drive product decisions
• Experience building maintainable, well-tested codebases for AI systems, including unit testing, integration testing, and monitoring for model quality and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large language models, generative AI systems, or retrieval-augmented generation architectures in production settings

Role Summary:  

The Core AI Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining SGX's shared AI services and platform infrastructure. This role is the backbone of the hub-and-spoke model, enabling deployed engineers and business units to deliver AI use cases reliably and at scale. 

Team size: 2-3 engineers in the Core Team 

Role Responsibilities:  

• Build and maintain shared and reusable services around document intelligence, knowledge & data, agent orchestration and agentic applications 

• Create additional reusable services and components for deployed engineers to build with 

• Set up and maintain monitoring for AI services and use cases 

• Define APIs, integration patterns, and engineering standards 

• Support deployed engineers with technical guidance and code review 

• Contribute technical expertise to AI use case inventory and governance documentation 

• Participate in pre-deployment reviews for medium and high-risk use cases 

Role Requirements:  

• Strong software engineering (Python, cloud services, CI/CD) 

• Experience with LLM APIs, RAG architectures, or knowledge graphing 

• Understanding of data governance and security in regulated environments

• Possess a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of QA experience with a focus on ServiceNow platform testing.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules (e.g. ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, ITRM, Security Operations, Workplace Service Delivery, Strategic Portfolio Management etc.) and workflows.

• Strong experience in ServiceNow testing, including Automated Test Framework (ATF).

• Experience in managing end-to-end SIT and UAT cycles.

• Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, workflows, and module functionalities.

• Proven experience in test strategy development, test case design, and defect management.

• Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g. Selenium, REST API testing tools, Postman).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Experience in integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Workday) will be advantageous.

• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and patch testing will be a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines will be a plus.
