We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise, maintenance, and support services to ensure the efficient operation of marine electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for marine vessels
• Install and commission electrical systems on ships
• Supervise marine engine technicians and related works
• Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment
• Perform maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components
• Design cable tray routing and determine electrical panel positioning
• Prepare single-line diagrams for lighting and electrical panels
• Supervise installation, cabling, and termination of electrical equipment
• Independently test and commission electrical panels
• Conduct system surveys and present findings to relevant authorities

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience in marine electrical systems and shipyard operations
• Ability to work independently and supervise a team
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Develop strong relationships with customers as a trusted advisor to facilitate engineering solutions by visiting customers regularly, providing pre-sales and post sales support.

Work with sales teams to interpret customer requirements, deliver solutions and manage customer expectations with the end-goal of sales in mind

Work as a consultant to the sales teams and clients to problem-solve and make recommendations during the sales process.

Requirements:

The candidate is expected to:

Have a minimum of 1 years engineering experience in the areas of valves, control valves and steam applications.

Job Description

1. Assist the team in site management, including site supervision, program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower allocation, and control usage and wastages
2. Report to Project Manager on site matters and progress of work, including coordination with consultation, architect and authorities for site matters
3. Track deliverables, control subcontractors and suppliers to meet schedule, safety and quality objectives.
4. Liaise with QS to monitor work schedules and claims or VOs
5. Study technical drawings and highlight on-site discrepancies with resolution
6. Coordinate with subcontractors based on drawings and project schedule
7. Providing reports and activity updates to management
8. Identifying and resolving workplace problems with all the subcontractors & vendors
9. Ensure compliance of WSH Regulation & Safety Procedures and maintain good housekeeping by coordinating responsibilities of site engineers / site supervisors and sub-contractors.
10. Monitor, coordinate, and keep track of the site work progress to ensure quality and an efficient manner
11. Attend all meetings including consultant, technical and subcontractor.
12. Responsible for all day-to-day construction, operational and administration activities at sites.
13. Responsible for preparation of planning and progress report every week and report to Project Manager and client.

Job Requirement

• Minimum 5 years working in Singapore construction industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical architectural drawings is critical
• Positive work attitude, Good interpersonal and supervisory skills
• A team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work night shift and working OT is required.
• Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus as it is required to communicate with Chinese workers
• Able to work on Public Holidays during peak period
