Job Description & Requirements

As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you will play role in Hardware team to work on advanced electronic devices, including embedded systems and PCB boards, Firmware and applications, for a variety of applications in banking, payments, fare collection, and IoT systems. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for electronic design, from initial concept and specification to final validation and support for manufacturing and programming. You’ll leverage your expertise in electronics, embedded systems, and IoT to create robust, scalable solutions for real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, component selection, and design specifications firmware/software development and programming.
• Integrate and test designed systems with hardware and software components, ensuring compatibility and performance standards are met.
• Create and simulate circuit designs, perform schematic capture, and layout multi-layer PCB designs using industry-standard tools.
• Design and develop complex electronic circuits and multi-layer PCB boards for use in fare collection systems, payment devices, and intelligent transportation systems.
• Develop and execute testing procedures for prototypes, including validation, functional testing, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) considerations.
• Support the transfer of designs to manufacturing, including the creation of documentation, BOM, and production guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronics design, IoT, and payment technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in electronic or embedded systems.
• Skills:Proficiency in PCB design software, Altium Designer.
  Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuits, including microcontrollers, embedded systems, and power management.
  Familiarity with communication protocols such as USB, UART, SPI, I2C, and various wireless technologies (e.g., Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi).
  Understanding of regulatory compliance standards relevant to payment and transit systems.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing designs for performance and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

• IoT and Embedded Systems: Experience in embedded systems, IoT applications, including connectivity and security considerations.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with banking, payments, fare collection systems, or intelligent transportation systems.
• Soft skills: Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reliability test capability installation in-house and support reliability test requirement.

• Responsible for communication and coordination with external lab in supporting customer specified reliability test or reliability study demand.

• Participating New Project Introduction (NPI) review and plan in order to deliver customer required/ specified reliable PCB.

• Work with Process Engineering/ Quality department to set process and product reliability buy-off methods per process/ product requirement.

• Continuously enhance plant wide PCB regular reliability Test Vehicle to be representative to plant technology level and product capability.

• Set up and establish in-house PCB reliability test capability – IST test, SIR, CAF, D-Coupon.

• Coordinate with external lab to support customer specified or in-house reliability test or reliability study demand.
  

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 2 year of experience in manufacturing.

• Knowledge on quality system ISO9001/TS16949, SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, 8D Report, Six Sigma green belt certification will be added value.

• Familiar with Microsoft office software including Word and Power Point.

• Good presentation and negotiation skill on English.

• Prior working experience in PCB-related industries would be an advantage.
