Preferred Qualifications

· A Professional Engineer (PE) registered with Professional Engineers Board Singapore is preferred

· Possess a university engineering degree (mechanical)

· Able to work independently in producing the project deliverables to meet project timeline

Responsibilities

·                Responsible for control system after sales business activities including site commissioning, maintenance, servicing, expansion, upgrade and retrofitting projects.

·                To perform I/O loop test, troubleshooting, functional test and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) at site.

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Engineer to provide frontline technical support. The role involves attending to emergency breakdowns, responding to technical calls, and supporting the engineering team in ensuring minimal downtime and maximum customer satisfaction. This role is critical in supporting 24/7 operations, with specific standby responsibilities during off-peak hours (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM).

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and troubleshoot emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize equipment or vehicle downtime.
• Respond to technical calls and provide timely advice, solutions, or escalation where necessary.
• Assist in diagnosing faults and carrying out corrective actions in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Document breakdown cases, technical calls, and corrective measures taken for reporting and follow-up.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, or internal departments when additional resources are required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality standards, and company policies.
• Be on standby during off-peak hours (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM), as rostered (Tue – Saturday / Sun – Thur).
• Upon activation, arrive at the appointed breakdown site within 1 hour.
• Ensure readiness with tools, equipment, and PPE for immediate response.
• Perform any other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related Engineering field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience (fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are welcome).
• Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques, equipment diagnostics, or automotive/electrical systems preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during emergencies.
• Good communication skills to handle technical calls and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or be on standby for emergency call-outs.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is an advantage.

As a Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L3) at NTT DATA, your primary role will be to provide exceptional service to our clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents. You will ensure that client infrastructure is configured, tested, and operational, leveraging your deep technical expertise to solve complex problems and enhance our service quality.

Part of your Responsibilities will entail pre-emptive service incident resolution, product reviews, and operational improvements. You will manage high-complexity tickets, perform advanced tasks, and provide diverse solutions while ensuring zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. Your role will also involve mentoring junior team members and working across various technology domains such as Cloud, Security, Networking, and Applications.

You will conduct necessary checks, apply monitoring tools, and respond to alerts, identifying issues before they become problems. Logging incidents with the required level of detail, you will analyse, assign, and escalate support calls. Additionally, you will proactively identify opportunities for optimization and automation, ensuring continuous feedback to clients and affected parties.

Important responsibility is to create knowledge articles for frequent tasks/issues and train junior team members in executing those tasks. Provide inputs to automation teams to reduce manual efforts.

You will engage with third-party vendors when necessary and keep systems and portals updated as prescribed. As a senior engineer, you will coach L2 teams on advanced troubleshooting techniques and support the implementation and delivery of projects, disaster recovery functions, and more, ensuring all actions adhere to client requirements and timelines.
