Make an Impact by

1. To plan, architect and design Transmission & Access active network to meet business deliverables and network reliability objectives.
2. To implement Transmission & Access active network refresh/upgrade so as to maintain Singtel’s Network Technological Leadership in the local market.  This includes the planning and engineering of the various network equipment: DWDM DC-DC and DCI network On the phasing out and consolidation of DWDM network, this includes project managing the installation of new DWDM muxes, coordinating and plan with various stakeholders (e.g. Account Manager, Service Provisioning, Field Force etc) on migrating out the corporate circuits from the end-of-life SDH nodes. Responsible for the planning of Transmission & Access network to track its performance metrics and take the necessary actions to address any potential network design & technical issues when it is at its infancy stage.  This includes performing audit of the Transmission & Access active network, performing simulation testing in the Transmission Test Lab (to support Tenders’ Proof-of-Concept testing).
5. To provide the necessary engineering & technical support in the design & planning of Central Office’ equipment rooms, as well as the consolidation of Central Office.
6. To manage the planning & implementation of NMS/T-SDN Servers (which includes the virtualization of these servers) and the engineering of the DCN network (meant to bring the alarms from network nodes back to the NMS system).
7. Documentation of various transmission & access planning guidelines & processes, which will help to facilitate training courses for new recruits or existing staff.
8. Perform any other assignments as tasked by the Director.

Skills for Success:

• Degree in Communication or Electronics Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years experiences in:Engineering & implementation of Transmission & Access network infrastructure (e.g. Optical DWDM, Microwave, Synchronization Clock, Submarine Cable network etc).IP & Ethernet Networking (e.g. switching and routing) working knowledge. Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Technical Executive for one of our international shipowner clients. The incumbent will be responsible for the efficient execution of the technical and purchase key processes to support the company's fleet of vessels. He/she should have at least a year of experience in a similar function with some purchasing experience.

Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, coordinate and ensure timely follow-up of class and flag requirements in order that the vessel attains sea worthiness and commercial readiness.
  - Determine class / flag requirements and apply to class / flag administration for surveys, inspections, related issues and special requests.
  - Pre-preparation of draft specification for modification / alternation to vessel for compliance of Class / Statutory requirements.
  - Plan, arrange and coordinate class and flag surveys or exemptions and other related requirements.
  - Update, maintain accuracy and practice good housekeeping of records, plans and drawings.

• Support Superintendents in dry-docking and related activities:
  - Liaise with vessel and other sources to compile dry dock planning requirements / specifications and budget / costing.
  - Compile and review dry-docking specification quote from yards / contractors, prepare and update file for Superintendents, Fleet Manger and Technical Directors discussion and approval.
  - Monitor, identify and communicate progress and any deviation from dry dock plan.
  - Follow up on documentations (i) upon confirmation of selected yard / contractors and (ii) at the end of dry-docking process including closure of invoices with Superintendents.
• Monitor and ensure all trading certificates are valid, follow up on hot work and daily correspondence with vessel.
• Administer, review and enforce the ISO procedures (Company's manuals) and requirements for technical processes.

PURCHASING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and Issue Purchase order (PO)
  - Ensure approval is obtained and proper closure of the purchasing activities for each technical purchase requirement.
• Plan, coordinate and ensure that all requirements are delivered to vessel on time, at the right cost and specifications.
  - Identify and source for vessels requirements (i.e. general store, spares, provision and bonded stores).
  - Plan, coordinate (with Operations and Fleet Personnel Department) and monitor the delivery of stores / spares to vessels in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  - Solicit vessels feedback on supplies and follow up on payments, non-conformities deliveries(quality, quantity, specifications) with respective suppliers.
