• Oversee general project works, ensuring timely progress and compliance with standards
• Create red mark drawings reflecting site modifications and submit reports for As-Built drawing preparation
• Develop and revise shop drawings based on consultant feedback and manage re-submission processes
• Monitor material delivery schedules and control project costs by coordinating work arrangements per project timelines
• Commission project equipment and conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with QEHS policies, procedures, and work instructions
• Lead site testing follow-ups, project safety meetings, and site coordination meetings to maintain project safety and communication
• Maintain awareness of legal requirements, environmental impacts, and occupational safety and health risks related to work activities

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working on LTA projects

 Study the project requirement, specification, scope of work and scope supply and other requirements stated. 

 Attending periodical meeting with contractor to discuss on the engineering clarification and engineering status 

 Technical query:Piping installation document & drawing status (isometric drawings, P&ID’s, piping GA’s, etc.) 

Plan and Implement Projects

Resident Engineers are involved in the design, specifications, and execution of various projects. They use their expertise to evaluate construction projects and determine the best engineering method or practice to accomplish the job. They will establish an estimated cost and what tools and technologies are appropriate for the job as well as a timeframe for the work to be completed.

Supervise Projects

Supervising construction staff is another of the Resident Engineer’s duties. They must ensure staff are properly trained in the use of all equipment, that all staff have access to and use any safety gear and that the team is reaching the required milestones. If construction crews encounter any technical issues, the Resident Engineer should evaluate the issue and provide the appropriate solutions.

Oversee Compliance

Resident Engineers must make sure their projects adhere to all government and industry standards and guidelines. If special permits or records need to be obtained, the Resident Engineer will do so and ensure the paperwork is recorded and stored properly

• Good Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a University accredited by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore
• Must be accredited as a Resident Engineer with IES/ACES
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices
• Conversant with local building codes and regulations
• Good supervisory and leadership skills

Additional requirement:

1. Supervision for structural, architectural & M&E scope of works

2. Have at least 10 years experience in site supervision as RE
