Job Summary

The Project Engineer will execute projects related to Building Management Systems (BMS) and Power Monitoring Systems (PMS) for mission critical, commercial, industrial, and hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, fast learning and adaptability soft-skill and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in the built environment space.

Responsibilities

• Manage BMS and PMS projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to technical requirements, timelines, budgets, and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, and internal teams to align objectives and resolve issues
• Design, configure, and commission BMS and PMS systems applying application engineering expertise to optimize system performance
• Program Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Direct Digital Control (DDC), or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems to meet project specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain system reliability and functionality
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for accurate project planning and execution
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation to support project tracking and compliance
• Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to provide updates and technical support
• Deliver technical support and customer training sessions as required to enhance user competence and satisfaction
• Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company safety policies
• Perform on-site work as necessary to oversee project implementation and quality assurance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
• 0-2 years of experience in BMS, PMS, or related industries is preferred but not mandatory; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

The Project Engineer duties and responsibilities are as follows :

• Plan, schedule, organize & liaise with sub-contractors on daily work schedule.
• Manage & report site progress to respective block PM.
• Coordinate with site agent/coordinators on direction of work progress.
• Troubleshoot consultants’ drawings & resolve technical difficulties by raising RFI to Lead Engineer.
• Ensure environmental, safety & health practices on-site at all time.
• To conduct safety site inspections as per in-house mini-PM roles & responsibilities.
• Coordinate with QAQC dept. & sub-contractors on CONQUAS assessment.
• Arrange site inspection with Resident Engineer/Resident Technical Officer upon completion of site works.
• Supervise to ensure productivity & quality of sub-contractors’ works, in compliance to specific requirement e.g. contract specifications, in-house QMS & etc.
• Liaising with site admin & purchasing department on materials procurement & delivery.
• Other duties as assigned by the Departmental Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in project planning and to co-ordinate and oversee all works on the site
• Monitor & co-ordinate the works with supervisors
• Handling of technical and engineering problems
• Assist in planning, programming and monitoring of construction works progress
• Liaison with client's representative, relevant authorities and consultants
• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimise environmental impact associated with the construction activities
• Take reasonable practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at the workplace
• Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented at the work site

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering
• Able to operate MS Project
• Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical abilities

• Design of viaduct layouts and tendon details
• Draft construction design drawings for viaduct structure and submission for approval
• Generate BBS (bar bending schedule)
• Revision of drawings as per comments/instructions of the client
• Reports progress and performance to the Senior Engineer and Design Manager
• Monitor and update design schedule regularly

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in design / construction of bridge / viaduct/ roads / highways
• Experience in LTA projects (Road / MRT / Viaduct) an advantage
• Technical expertise and knowledge of concrete material & structure design
• Familiar with the proposal for structural systems
• Familiar with Structural Analysis Software (MIDAS, SAP, STAAD etc.)
• Excellent in using AUTOCAD
