4. Equipment & Line Readiness

• Support preventive maintenance activities for pumps, agitators, rectifiers, chillers, filtration systems, and plating/anodizing tanks.

• Assist maintenance team in diagnosing equipment abnormalities that affect production stability.

• Ensure calibration of basic instruments (pH meter, conductivity, thickness gauges) is done on time.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Complete production forms, bath check sheets, process logs, and operator audit records accurately.

• Update SOPs and work instructions when process changes occur.

• Prepare daily reports on process status, defects, and deviations.

6. Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure safe handling of parts, chemicals, jigs, and equipment.

• Follow SDS and internal EHS requirements for chemical storage and disposal.

• Support EHS team during inspections (wastewater, ventilation, PPE compliance).

• Conduct on-the-job safety briefings for operators.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.

• 1–5 years’ experience in plating/electroplating, surface finishing, or chemical processing preferred.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and process improvement skills.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and chemical safety standards.

Skills Required

• Understanding of electroplating techniques (e.g., nickel, chrome, zinc, gold, tin).

• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret plating thickness requirements.

• Experience with rectifiers, chemical pumps, dosing systems, and wastewater treatment.

• Good teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.

Assistant Production Manager

• Location: Tuas
• (Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate travel to work by themselves)
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)
• Basic: $4300 to $4800 + Sign on Bonus (T&C apply)

Requirements

Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

Safety-related certifications are an advantage.

Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in Manufacturing industry.

Prior supervisory or assistant management experience preferred.

Job scope

• Operations & Production

Assist the Operations Manager in managing day-to-day production on processing, including thermal treatment, chemical leaching, milling, blending processes.

Oversee and coordinate activities across production on, engineering, logistics, and chemical leaching teams to ensure smooth operations.

Monitor production on output, recovery yields, and process efficiency to meet operational targets.

Ensure materials are handled, processed, and stored in accordance with approved SOPs and work instructions.

Support troubleshooting of process deviations and operational issues.

• Safety, Health & Environment (S.H.E.)

Enforce strict compliance with safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals and high-value material.

Ensure adherence to workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox meetings, inspections, and safety briefings.

• Quality, Compliance & Accountability

Ensure full traceability, accountability, and accurate documentation of materials.

Verify inspections, sampling, testing, and weighing activities

Support internal, external, and customer audits.

Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.

• Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead and supervise Production Teams.

Assist in manpower planning, shift scheduling, and task allocation.

Provide coaching, training, and performance guidance to improve team competency and discipline.

Act as the Operations Manager’s representative when required.

• Inventory & Asset Control

Monitor inventory levels of critical spares, work-in-progress, and finished jobs.

Ensure secure handling, storage, and movement of high-value materials.

Coordinate with logistics for material receipt, shipment and documentation on accuracy.

• Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Prepare and review operational, safety, and production reports.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve recovery rates, reduce losses, and enhance operational efficiency.

Review and update SOPs and work instructions as required.
