What You Will Do

• Maintain and support wafer test equipment or metrology tool readiness in the fab
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of wafer test equipment
• Troubleshoot and upgrade of equipment ensuring minimize downtime
• Analyze and monitor technical charts
• Drive equipment improvement plans and projects
• Ensure and follow good safety practices and custody of tools, equipments and other properties
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed
• Tool types: KLA, AMAT, ONTO, or Unity

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering, preferably in a wafer fab / Electronics / Electrical industry
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
• Perform Normal / Swing Shift (or 12-hour rotating shift if required)

Round-the-clock monitoring and maintenance of the System (hardware and software) to ensure system uptime in accordance to SLA commitments

Respond to all incident / service calls and be first responder onsite to troubleshoot and resolve incidents including basic repairs or parts replacements

Create / update and track ticket in ticketing tool to closure observing SLA commitments

Escalate, when necessary, in accordance to escalation matrix

Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting system hardware and all computer-based systems.

Coordinate and work with third-party suppliers or other contractors to identify the causes of issues e.g. hardware, software, network problems and etc. that may affect the proper functioning of the System.

Liaise and work closely with customers to address service concerns and to solve technical problems.

Work with technical team to resolve more advanced issues when necessary

Perform Install / Move / Add / Change (IMAC) activities as tasked

Ensure all material is properly documented and handed over during shift changes

Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Higher NITEC in Electrical, Electronics, IT or equivalent

Relevant experience in IT system support and hardware maintenance

Experience in electrical/mechanical drawing, service/repair manuals and or diagrams will be added advantage

Basic knowledge in Networking and Database management will be added advantage

Working hours

Rotating 12 hours shift or as assigned.

Shift pattern: 3 Days work shift followed by 2 days’ rest, 2 Days work shift followed by 3 days’ rest

2 Months Day shift, followed by 2 months night shift

Ability to travel to other sites during shift may be required.

Responsible for civil and steel structures scopes for building construction works.

- Study tender / construction drawings, specifications, contracts scope of works to understand project requirements.

- Plan, schedule work sequences, prepare Microsoft Project for all task and micro-schedule form throughout the project.

- Perform site inspection and ensure that the work is carried out based on the project specification and construction drawing, consultant, and authority requirement.

- Liaise and coordinate with consultants, client, main contractor, other contractor and authority.

- Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule.

- Ensure project is executed according to micro-schedule and timeline.

- Resolve all engineering, technical and project queries from time to time.

- Prepare a report and method statement whenever necessary.

- Prepare progress report, handover report, meeting minutes, TOP/CSC documentation, and other requirement request by client and authority.

Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Civil / Structural or equivalent.

- Candidate must possesses Civil, Architectural, Steel Structures and/or related experience.

- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

The Defectivity Line Control Engineer is responsible for controlling defectivity in semiconductor wafer fabrication through daily line monitoring, OOC management, tool excursion response, and cross-functional problem solving. The role supports both routine operations and improvement activities to ensure stable process performance, product quality, and effective industrialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze defect Pareto, defect maps, and characterization data to identify root causes and containment actions.
• Drive tool OOC reduction and lead sporadic defect reduction activities.
• Lead the troubleshooting of defectivity alert and involve in Material Review Board for material assessment and disposition.
• Support troubleshooting of defectivity alerts and escalation of critical issues.
• Work closely with process, equipment, device, quality, and production teams to drive defect reduction and line stability.
• Support technology transfer and industrialization activities to ensure smooth deployment of new products and processes.
• Responsible for setting up, optimizing, maintaining Process Defectivity Systems like Automation system (Auto defect sampling, Auto DOI, DOLI), Defect library.
• Opportunity to involve in deployment of Advanced Defectivity Monitoring system involving AI, Convolution Neural Network (CNN) and deep learning with DIT team and opportunities to learn and apply data analytics.

Skills and Competencies

• Degree in Material Science/Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics/Mechanical/Physics/Chemistry. 
• Preferred minimum 3 years working experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication industry and good knowledge in Defectivity methodology and knowledge of Defectivity inspection tool. Fresh graduate is welcomed to apply as well.
• Knowledge in Klarity Defects/AceXP/Space/Spotfire and other Defectivity related tool will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of semiconductor wafer fab processes.
• Ability to work across departments and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning, testing, and validation activities for building automation systems, integrated security systems, fire protection systems, monitoring systems, and M&E infrastructure at client project sites.
• Review engineering drawings, system architecture diagrams, schematics, technical specifications, and design documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct system walkdowns, inspections, mechanical completion verification, and operational readiness assessments.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, testing procedures, validation protocols, and system verification activities.
• Perform functional testing, integrated system testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and operational verification of automation and monitoring systems.
• Coordinate with client engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, controls, and software disciplines during project execution.
• Manage punch lists, non-conformances, deviations, corrective actions, and system close-out activities.
• Review vendor documentation, commissioning reports, technical manuals, and equipment/system qualification records.
• Support implementation and testing of remote monitoring systems, command centre platforms, alarm management systems, and AI-enabled monitoring solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, client specifications, safety requirements, and quality management procedures.
• Prepare commissioning reports, validation summaries, test documentation, and project handover deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical support throughout project execution and commissioning phases.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimisation of installed systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in commissioning and validation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8 – 12 years of experience in commissioning, validation, automation, instrumentation, utilities, or engineering project execution.
• Strong knowledge of automation systems, control systems, instrumentation, utilities, and integrated facility systems.
• Experience reviewing engineering documentation, commissioning procedures, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with systems such as SCADA, BMS, DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, or equivalent platforms.
• Hands-on experience in commissioning electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utility, or integrated building systems.
• Exposure to large-scale infrastructure, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, or mission-critical environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, validation methodologies, and risk-based approaches.
