Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing supplier quality performance to ensure materials and services supplied meet the Company's quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements. • Collaborates with internal and external design and planning engineers to execute projects related to cage and suite network/compute infrastructure build-outs
• Leads weekly syncs with external colocation vendors and provides technical support and progress reporting on cage and suite build-outs and acceptance
• Manages and tracks project timelines, risks, and successfully navigate projects to on-time completion
• Leads site acceptance activities with various colocation providers as per Edge network facility acceptance standards
• Coordinates multiple projects in parallel and efficiently executes work through vendors at scale
• Collaborates closely with Meta business and technical teams to provide input on space/power delivery and associated deployment projects, as well as other major initiatives that may affect capacity delivery
• Updates Meta’s internal tooling and data record keeping in support of edge/backbone midpoint cage and suite build-outs
• Coordinates related Owner Furnished/Contractor Installed equipment delivery from Meta’s inventory to colocation facilities
• Proactively works and aligns with network planning and investment teams on the roadmap and material forecasting needs for on-time delivery of projects
• Applies lessons learned from projects to support continuous improvement initiatives
• 20% to 30% travel required based on project demand

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of work experience with designing and constructing large scale data center or similar mission critical infrastructure including specifying suite level space, power, cooling, and structured cabling connectivity requirements for network and compute hardware
• Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects
• Working knowledge of interpreting and analyzing electrical/mechanical single line diagrams
• Working knowledge of various regional data center electrical and cooling configurations, IEC, NEMA standards, AC/DC power concepts, power redundancy scenarios
• General knowledge of fiber optic components, structured cabling, pathways, and interconnect products, technologies, and design concepts
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles related to infrastructure architecture, including space line up, air flow, cooling, etc
• General knowledge of data center, colocation, and isolated hut environments, including engineering principles related to power and infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience with field-based work in POPs, data centers, Carrier-neutral facilities, or telecom exchanges
• Experience with communication and directing tasks with carriers and colocation vendors
• Demonstrate experience to work effectively in an ambiguous environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and middleware for OT/IoT data ingestion using OPC-UA, MODBUS, and MQTT protocols.

• Build data pipeline components that normalise, process, and route telemetry from field devices to platform services and 3D visualisation layers.

• Integrate AI coding tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) into daily development workflows for code generation, unit testing, and validation — this is an expected practice, not optional.

• Write and maintain automated test suites covering protocol adapters, data transformation logic, and integration endpoints.

• Collaborate with frontend Unity engineers and systems architects to define and implement API contracts (REST/WebSocket).

• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and support deployment through CI/CD pipelines.

• Troubleshoot field connectivity and protocol issues; work with OT/hardware teams on device commissioning and debugging

.Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2–5 years in backend or systems software engineering, with at least some exposure to OT/IoT environments. 

Must-Have Requirements

• Hands-on experience with OPC-UA, MODBUS, and MQTT — protocol implementation, not just conceptual familiarity.

• Proficiency in backend development (Python, Node.js, Go, or Java — at least one).

• Active use of AI tools for coding, testing, and validation in prior roles or personal projects.

• Experience writing integration and unit tests; familiarity with test automation frameworks.

• Comfortable working with message brokers (MQTT brokers, Kafka, or similar) and time-series or event-driven data.

Good to Have

• New customers creation. To identifying potential customers with planning and organizing sales call schedule by cold calls or given sales leads. Candidate is also required to maintain and servicing of existing customers. Address sales and engineering support goals, contributing to weekly, monthly and annual sales report, analysing expenses, identifying inconsistencies and troubleshooting issues.
• Prepare and making of product presentation, provide product application support, demonstrate or performing of Installation on the appropriate sales engineering equipment according toorders, specificities and preferences.

• Communicate with Principals (Suppliers) and Sales team together to drive for achieving sales goal. Selected candidate will be receiving product training, which may include product information, product application, maintenance, service support or deal with system breakdowns that occurred.

• Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementingdirectives. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Photonics Engineering or related engineering field.
