• Strong understanding of CNC machining (turning, milling) and sheet metal processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, finishing) and their impact on dimensional and cosmetic quality

• Proficiency in inspection techniques for tight tolerances, complex geometries, and formed components

• Solid knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk, FMEA, and control plans, with practical application on the shop floor

• Strong problem-solving capability, using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis

Job Summary

The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfilment, and maintaining safety and quality standards. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating logistics, and improving operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfilment
• Supervise warehouse staff by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of duties
• Monitor inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and audits to maintain stock accuracy and control
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align warehouse activities with business needs and optimize operations
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and warehouse procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Handle shipment, delivery, and inventory documentation accurately to support traceability and record-keeping
• Assist in training and onboarding new warehouse staff to ensure they understand operational procedures and safety standards
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs
• Support resolution of operational issues and customer complaints by investigating problems and coordinating corrective actions

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations
• Prior supervisory experience
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills applied in fast-paced environments
• Effective leadership and communication skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments
• Class 3 Driving License
