• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and other safety reviews to ensure functional safety and risk mitigation in E&I designs.
• Address comments from clients, classification societies, and third parties in a timely manner.

Construction & Commissioning Support

• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases, including site visits and inspections.
• Review and update as-built documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping of final installed systems.

Mentorship & Team Development

• Guide junior engineers and designers in preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Promote best practices in E&I design, documentation, and quality control.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in E&I engineering, with at least 3 years in offshore oil & gas, FPU/FPSO, or substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of offshore electrical systems, field instrumentation, telecom & navigation systems, and control system integration.

• Use MATLAB and other development tools to create, assess, and translate algorithm concepts into robust product-ready software solutions.
• Prepare clear and traceable technical documentation covering technology concepts, designs, experimental results, acceptance criteria, risks, and user needs.
• Define and execute verification and validation strategies to confirm that technologies and algorithms meet design and performance objectives.
• Ensure all solutions are developed in compliance with applicable quality, safety, regulatory, maintainability, and reliability standards.
• Identify technical risks early, develop mitigation plans, and lead resolution of complex system-level technical challenges.
• Support invention generation, patent disclosures, and technical differentiation for future product platforms.
• Provide technical support required to ensure successful OCT design transfer, including troubleshooting product issues, driving performance improvements, and offering expert support for existing products when needed.

Professional Experience

• Strong in advance technology development.
• Experience in medical device development, preferably imaging &visualization related systems.
• Proficient in MATLAB.
• Experience in C++/C#
• Minimum Technical Master’s Degree in relevant field in OpticalEngineering, Physics.
• Having a PhD Degreein relevant field is considered an added advantage.

• Collection of new worker’ credentials and arrangements for the provision of Personal Protective Equipment and the conduct of safety inductions by a Safety Coordinator.
• Monitor workers’ training course schedules timely.
• Maintain an up-to-date employee record of the Project Department.
• Carry out clearance procedures for resigned employees
• Validate and update staff movements, overtime and off-day record in the Attendance Management System (AMS) on regular basis.
• Ensure timely submission of monthly reports eg. Drivers Commission Report, General Workers OT Report, Equipment Utilizations Report and etc.
• Renew or apply for entry passes to restricted zones such as Jurong Port, Jurong Island, PSA and etc.
• Assist in the application for VISA or work passes for overseas assignment.
• Make ferry reservation for the project team members’ work related trip to Batam Island.
• Attend to expenses claims submitted by members of the Project team.
• Manage the replenishment of office stationery and refreshments.
• Coordinate with clients on assigned projects
• Other ad-hoc assignment assigned by your superior from time to time.

Job Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Management

• Coordinate and follow up exhibition, event setup, and commercial carpentry projects from design stage to completion.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely execution.
• Communicate with customers on project details, requirements, and progress updates.
• Assist in preparing work schedules, quotations, cost estimations, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and resolve operational or on-site issues promptly.
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and with high client satisfaction.

Site Operations

• Conduct site visits for measurement, coordination, and progress checks.
• Attend on-site setup for exhibitions, events, and installations.
• Ensure smooth execution during setup and dismantling.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and logistics when required.

Requirements

• Experience in exhibition, event setup, commercial carpentry, interior fit-out, or related industries is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsible, hands-on, and willing to work on-site when required.
