Storekeeper is a person who is responsible for goods in a store. Storekeeper is very important person for the store. He is the in charge of store department and also responsible for store control.

Storekeeper Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive and forward all types of goods and deliveries in and out of the hotel to the correct point of storage area.

• Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store's area of operation.

• Monitor and take inventory on regular basis to compile orders based on par levels or needs.

• Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.

• Monitor Periodic Automatic Replacement levels for all food items to ensure proper levels.

• Responsible to verify all goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received.

• Responsible for storage of both food & beverage and operational stock.

• Responsible for the day-to-day check on the storage facilities of upkeep and hygiene.

• Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.

• Ensure cleanliness of all areas, keeping storage areas clean & tidy and in strict compliance with hygiene regulations.

• Ensure all store requisitions are signed by concerned Department Heads (HOD’s).

• Ensure the quantity requested and the quantity issued always matches.

• Ensure store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the goods and enter into the Inventory/Materials Management System.

• Post all invoices using the MMS - Material Management System.

• Speak with others using clear and professional language.

• Follow up on documentation of after-hours issues ensuring it is in accordance with established internal controls and procedures.

• Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures particularly relating to food and beverage items.

• Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.

• Assist the Accounts Payable Clerk / payable assistant in finding out any cost discrepancies.

• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.

• Extend all requisitions on a daily basis and update the inventory management software/system.

• Work closely with Purchasing to order and receive items and equipment.

• Troubleshoot any vendor delivery issues and oversee/follow up on the return process.

• Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the management or supervisors.

Storekeeper Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in retail management, marketing, or related fields

• Well experience in retail management or sales

• Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and budgeting processes

• Proven ability to develop and implement retail promotion strategies

• Positive, friendly, and organized

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• The ability to work under pressure.

• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Familiarity with quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).

Job Description:

 1. Process Control & Operational Excellence
• Lead monitoring and analysis of production processes to ensure operations remain within established control limits.
• Oversee daily review of production control charts and performance indicators.
• Drive systematic root cause analysis for process deviations and implement sustainable corrective and preventive measures.
• Review and approve Production Work Instructions (WI) to ensure process compliance.
• Work closely with cross-functional departments and vendors to resolve quality, machinery, and process-related issues.
• Support production scheduling to meet delivery targets without compromising product quality.

2. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
• Identify process losses relating to material usage, equipment efficiency, and manpower productivity.
• Lead engineering studies and implement technological improvements to enhance operational performance.
• Conduct in-process trials, product testing, and technical evaluations.
• Develop initiatives to improve plant cost-effectiveness and operational sustainability.

3. Safety, Risk & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, risk assessments, and good housekeeping practices.
• Participate in hazard identification and mitigation planning for process and equipment operations.
• Support ISO documentation and audit compliance requirements.

4. Team Leadership & Development (If don't have, open to train)
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Process Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians.
• Identify competency gaps and recommend structured training plans.
• Lead hands-on technical training for new and existing production team members.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, discipline, and accountability.

5. Plant Projects & Expansion
• Support and lead process-related initiatives during plant expansion projects.
• Assist in planning and execution of annual Shut-Down Maintenance (SDM).
• Coordinate with Maintenance and contractors to ensure smooth project implementation.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of the plastics extrusion process will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in process optimization and root cause analysis.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a production setting.

Reporting to Senior Laboratory Supervisor, this position will perform laboratory testing and ad-hoc analyses of production samples of Alpha-Olefin Copolymers, namely TAFMER™ & EPR products, for the chemical plant.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily shipment and non-routine analysis of in-process and finished products in accordance to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and safe work procedures
• Perform basic calibration for laboratory equipment to ensure that they are maintained in good working condition
• Carry out documentation control for test results and ensure proper documentation of laboratory work and quality control records in accordance to the SOP
• Prepare density columns for grade transition for in-process and classification testing
• Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained in the Laboratory
• Provide support for Laboratory-related assignments as and when assigned by immediate superior
