In this dual-function role, you will translate customer and system-level requirements into detailed FPGA specifications, while also performing hands-on FPGA design, verification, and system-level integration. You will ensure that FPGA-based subsystems function correctly within the larger electronic warfare, avionics, or communication systems

• System Engineering Duties : Elicit, analyze, andmanage system-level requirements. Define system architecture and allocaterequirements to hardware, software, and FPGA subsystems. Develop systemverification plans and traceability matrices. Conduct trade-off studies(performance, power, cost, schedule) for FPGA vs. other processing solutions(DSP, GPU, MCU). Lead design reviews and interface with customers on technical specifications.
• FPGA Design Duties : Architect, code (VHDL/Verilog), simulate, and implement FPGA designs on Xilinx or Intel platforms. Perform synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and power analysis. Develop test benches and verification environments (including self-checking and coverage-driven verification). Integrate IP cores (third-party or legacy) and design custom interfaces (PCIe, JESD204B, Ethernet, ADC/DAC controllers). Debug FPGA-related system issues using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers.
• Integration & Validation : Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and system-level integration. Work alongside software engineers to validate driver and firmware interactions. Generate documentation, requirements specification, design description, verification report, and user manual.
• Prepare comprehensive firmware/software documentation by converting software and interface requirements into clear and concise development specifications.

Qualities We Value

• Bachelor/Masters in electrical engineering, computer engineering or systems engineering
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of combined experience in systems engineering and FPGA development
• Familiar with systems engineering processes (ISO 15288 or similar)
• Familiar with scripting (Python, Tcl, or Bash) for automation
• Understanding of verification & validation (V&V) methodologies
• Understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) fundamentals is a plus
• Experience with both system thinking and deep FPGA expertise
• Experience with requirements management tools
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx Vivado / Vitis or Intel Quartus
• Exposure to safety/security standards (DO-254, IEC 61508, or similar) is advantageous
• Proficient in VHDL (preferred) or Verilog
• Working knowledge of simulation tools (ModelSim, Questa, or Xcelium)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical teams and customers

The Research Associate role is responsible for designing and implementing advanced hardware architectures and system-level solutions for next-generation computing, with a focus on memory-centric acceleration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Processing-in-Memory (PIM) architectures, particularly leveraging emerging memory technologies such as ReRAM

• Implement and optimise hardware acceleration solutions for scientific computing algorithms (e.g., iterative solvers such as AMG, CG) and AI workloads

• Conduct hardware-software co-design, including architecture design, dataflow optimisation, and system integration

• Develop novel mapping strategies and dataflow scheduling techniques to improve performance, energy efficiency, and hardware reliability

Job Requirements:

· Be involved in all aspects of M&E Services

· Responsible for project implementation, planning and effective co-ordination of engineering, drafting, contract documentation, procurement, and QC activities on the project.

· Manage and monitor work-in-progress and ensure smooth implementation of projects, from inception to completion, in accordance with scheduled datelines

· Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other relevant government authorities

· Review and approve permits

· Attend and conduct periodic meetings on-site coordination and progress matters

· Responsible for quality aspects of works, site operation safety and material/plants utilization

· Assist in tender preparation

· All other M&E matters as and when required

Requirements:

The position is a full-time position, reporting to the respective Division Project Director for the projects for which they are responsible.

Candidates are to have:

· Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Process or Industrial Electrical Engineering with a preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience in design, project management and/or production planning of process equipment.

·It is important that the candidate has a proactive attitude focused on the successful execution of projects and possess a dynamic and motivated personality with good communicative and interpersonal skills.

· Strong spoken and written communication skills in the English language as an essential requirement with skills in Mandarin and other languages beneficial.

· Computer literacy in word, spreadsheets, database and production scheduling software.
