To assist the Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

• Install and maintain of machinery and equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts and conduct tests to ensure that repairs are satisfactory
• Monitor performance of machinery and equipment, adjust and calibrate as needed
• Periodically perform basic diagnostic tests and preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities in accordance with prescribed schedules
• Clean and lubricate equipment and machinery
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
• Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain housekeeping
• Upkeep of spare parts and maintenance room
• Upkeep of forklift
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/ITE Mechanical, Electrical/Industrial Maintenance equivalent
• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
• Minimum 1 year forklift operating skills & possess Class 3 license

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and conduct high quality research independently, as a candidate is expected to have relevant experience in one or more of these areas (e.g. mice/rodent handling, optogenetics and behaviours, animal surgery and dissection, calcium imaging, gnotobiotic studies and microbiome analysis, etc).

• Lead, assist or learn in a dynamic range of projects and lab duties, including but not limited to molecular biology and histology procedures, microscopy, rodent behavioural assays, neuroscience optogenetic and chemogenetic techniques, functional recording and calcium imaging, mice surgery, data analysis and presentation, lab maintenance and office, academic and administrative tasks

• Mentor and collaborate with group members and other research teams

• Demonstrate him/herself exceptionally self-motivated, a team player

• Any other responsibilities as advised by the PI based on the evolving needs in the lab

Key Competencies and Educational Requirements:

• Hold a Masters or Bachelor degree in Biology or relevant disciplines

• Have a keen interest in the lab’s research theme on the microbiome gut brain neuroscience

• Be proficient in relevant techniques described above

• Be highly motivated and conscientious

• Demonstrate her/his competencies and qualifications satisfactorily

• Work independently, and also have the ability to work effectively in a team

• Have good organisational, verbal and interpersonal skills

• Design high-converting landing pages, websites, and user flows for Swiftly
• Optimise UI/UX with a strong focus on conversion rate (CRO) and user behaviour
• Translate complex processes into simple, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces
• Work closely with management and marketing to refine messaging, layout, and user journey
• Continuously test, iterate, and improve designs based on data and performance insights
• Ensure consistency in branding and user experience across all digital touchpoints
• Stay updated on modern UI/UX trends and high-performing web design patterns

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in web design, UI/UX, or related fields
• Strong portfolio showcasing landing pages, websites, or conversion-focused designs
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
• Strong understanding of user behaviour, UX principles, and conversion optimisation
• Ability to simplify complex workflows into clean, intuitive designs
• High attention to detail, with strong ownership and accountability

• Experience with A/B testing or CRO tools
