Mission (About the Role)

As an Automation Engineer at Schneider Electric, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in supporting Schneider Electric’s Supply Chain Business Unit, measuring and analyzing warehouse performance (cost and service), implementing corrective action and managing projects to design and optimize warehousing process  

What will you do?  

Process Design 

• Deploy standard processes in line with Schneider Performance System requirements with primary focus on logistics processes 
• Support the new initiative or process change request in assigned sector. Validate changed and complete necessary documentation JBS, OWS and complete Training for operation supervisor & operators with signed training records 
• Conduct quarterly FMR analysis and ensure recommended storage strategy is in place 
• Conduct yearly SMB2 review and ensure time standards are maintained on a regular basis 
• Support the analysis through PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) in assigned sector and implement actions coming out of PFMEA 

Process Improvement 

• Monitor utilization of performance tracking tools and drive productivity improvement for assigned sector 
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for issues assigned from productivity barrier tracking, quality issues and system related issues and work with operation to deploy identified containment / corrective actio 
• Lead and implement the actions coming from IDEA system 

Digitization & Transformation 

• Support Smart DC, digitization or digital projects (incl. Tableau dashboards) 
• Support on CHR implementation, UAT and Follow up 
• Support any system related issues faced by operations and ensure timely resolution 
• Experience with conveyor systems, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMRs) 
• Warehouse Management System implementation with project management experience and familiar with Manhattan systems   

What qualifications will make you successful? 

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Logistics Management / Supply Chain Management   

• At least 4 years of working experience in warehouse and logistics operations with global presence 

• Good understanding of warehouse operations and terminology such as FIFO, MIGO and etc.  Working knowledge on inventory management and transportation 

• Computer literate, experience SAP & WM is required 

• Good written and verbal communication in English.  

• Proven record on problem solving skills 

Job Description

• Lead, manage and plan the site activities related to surveying
• Setting up of Survey-Points and levels on site
• Plan and coordinate daily survey activity
• Maintenance of surveying instrumentation such as Total Station, levelling instrument etc.
• Assist production team to produce shop drawings, as built survey drawings and actual works - setting out if required.
• Ensure all readings are taken on a timely, efficient and accurate basis.
• Attend site meeting and liaise closely with client on land surveying matters
• To carry out site inspection from time to time as part of project quality control.

a) Report to the Project Manager. Responsible for the EHS systems and implementations.

b) The detailed duties and responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:

• Oversee the project's EHS performance, administer and execute the organization’s WSH management system.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders, including EHS Manager on reporting of EHS matters, audits, programmes, initiatives etc.
• Proactively demonstrate and promote EHS initiatives and culture throughout the organization.
• Prepare & execute monthly EHS Programmes.
• Ensure timely submission of EHS reports and inspections.
• Able to lead fellow EHS colleagues and work alongside project team to provide a safe working environment for everyone.
• Support the company's system certification audits, internal/ external audits & programmes and other relevant certifications as needed
• To carry out daily inspections and recommending preventive measures to ensure compliance.
• To lead and investigate all accident / incident, near misses and recommend preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Establish emergency preparedness procedures and work with different agencies to participate in the project.
• Prepare and review risk assessments, safe work procedures and all relevant EHS plans.
• Liaise with government agencies, clients for all EHS related matters and reports.
• Ensure proper documentation of all EHS related documents, reports, training records etc.
• Act as a secretary for the project’s EHS Committee.
• To prepare and submit all relevant documents for all EHS related awards.
• Develop & implement environment & health management plans.
• Monitor and report on environmental & health performances.
• Manage all waste, pollution control and to conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance.
• Ad-hoc matters as assigned by the PM which is necessary for the execution of the project.

Job Requirements

• Registered WSHO certification from the MOM.
• Registered ECO certification from NEA.
• Registered ECMO certification from IES.
• Knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessment & EMMP (Added advantage)
• At least 3 years of post-registration experience in building construction. (HDB or public sector projects have added advantage)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to work with all levels of people.
• Well versed in the WSH Act & its subsidiary legislations.
• Internal Auditor certification.
• Proficient in MS office & EHS related platforms.
• Other WSH related certifications.
