We are looking for an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to join our team! This is a great entry-level role for those looking to start their career.

You will assist with the daily maintenance and servicing of semiconductor automation equipment (such as robotics, controllers, and aligners).

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the routine maintenance, cleaning, and simple repair of equipment and components (robotics, controllers, etc.) in our workshop.

* Follow senior engineers to customer sites (Wafer Fabs) within Singapore to assist with equipment installation, setups, or simple troubleshooting.

* Service and support local wafer fab customers and industry partners within Singapore.

* Flexibility to work overtime on weekdays or weekends occasionally to support customer emergency requests (overtime pay provided).

Requirements

* No prior work experience required! Open to all beginners.

* Graduates or students from Engineering, Mechanical, or any technical-related fields are welcome to apply.

* Welcome evening / part-time students! We can coordinate and adjust working hours to match your school schedule.

* Must be comfortable entering the cleanroom and wearing full cleanroom attire (bunny suit) at customer sites.

* Basic Mandarin proficiency (spoken and written) is required, as the role will need to liaise with our regional team and support customers from Singapore, China, and Taiwan, including handling technical cross-referencing of manuals.

Responsibilities :

• Support equipment development activities for new or enhanced semiconductor tools and subsystems
• Assist with tool characterization, engineering experiments, and data collection during development or early deployment phases
• Analyze equipment data to support capability assessments, design learning, and risk reduction
• Support documentation of equipment requirements, engineering changes, lessons learned, and development reports
• Participate in tool build, installation, upgrade, and qualification activities from a development perspective
• Collaborate with vendors, manufacturing, process engineering, and facilities teams under engineer supervision
• Prepare technical summaries and presentations for development reviews and project achievements
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and cleanroom requirements

• Maintain and publish roadmaps to define work/CIP’s required to move toolsets from one EMI level to the next in preparation for transfer to HVM.


Requirements :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• Understanding of Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) or Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) equipment operation, working principles, fixing, and tool installation procedures

• Exposure to R&D PCVD equipment transfer and the ability to develop/optimize equipment hardware design

• Exposure to PCVD pump/abatement/chiller selection and ability to develop/optimize equipment hardware design is preferred

• Remarkable oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to express messages clearly and effectively on a local and global scale.
