Key Responsibilities

Underwriting Support

• Marine Hull and Aviation teams to support underwriting activities incompliance with company guidelines.
• Assist in the assessment of risks for new and renewal business within the Marine Hull and Aviation portfolios.
• Prepare underwriting submissions, review policy terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with company underwriting standards.
• Provide recommendations and decisions on straightforward risks, under supervision.
• Manage small underwriting authority to handle simple renewals and issue endorsements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal policies.

Post-Bind Activities

• File underwriting documents and correspondence into the shared drive/folder to maintain organized and accurate records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Prepare booking instructions for the Operations team to ensure accurate premium processing and record-keeping.
• Monitor and manage endorsements, ensuring timely processing and documentation.
• Conduct premium reconciliation to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies incoordination with relevant teams.

Client and Team Coordination

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to support business retention and development.
• Assist in managing inquiries from brokers and clients, providing timely responses and solutions.

Professional Development

• Gain exposure to underwriting principles and processes under the mentorship of senior underwriters.
• Develop skills to manage and sign endorsements independently.
• Gradually take on more complex underwriting responsibilities as proficiency is demonstrated.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in Marine Hull LOB is required.
• Experience in Aviation LOB is preferred but not essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently andcollaboratively.

• Industry Expertise: Proven knowledge and experience in Marine Hull underwriting; familiarity with Aviation insurance is advantageous.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Foster positive thinking and motivation within all Food and Beverage kitchens by giving active assistance and advice on more effective ways of running the kitchens.
•Plan in conjunction with the superior activities, promotions, menu implementations according to the annual marketing plans.

•Be constantly aware of customers expectations and ever changing needs.
•Be responsible for and accountable for the overall food cost as well as kitchen supplies, kitchen energy costs and kitchen utensils in the assigned section.
•Find ways to improve the efficiency of the operations, which will benefit our clients.
•Assist the superior in constantly finding ways to further improve the Food cost through strategic purchasing, without negatively affecting pre- determined quality standards.
•Constantly strive to reduce energy consumption through awareness campaigns within all kitchens.
•Co-operate with and drive forward the implementations of minimum operating standards in all Food and Beverage kitchens through close follow up with outlet Managers.
•Complete staff appraisals in a timely manner, if required.
•Complete detailed checks of the entire Food and Beverage operation during all service periods taking necessary actions to correct any deviation from quality standards.

Requirements:

•Completion of GCE ‘O’; or minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Knowledge of food inventory
•Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
