1. Collateral Design & Content Creation 

• Design visually compelling collateral, including brochures, posters, and social media content, to support our outreach and communication efforts. 

• Create targeted recruitment content specifically designed to attract students who require tailored assistance to join our initiatives. 

2. Digital Communications & Storytelling 

• Assist the marketing team in developing engaging narratives that showcase the successes and unique stories of individuals who have benefited from our programmes. 

• Manage and create engaging, simple content for our social media platforms and communication channels. 

3. Event Media Support & Research 

• Gain experience in photo/videography at various events and programmes to capture key insights for content creation. 

• Research case studies and proactively provide fresh ideas to the Marketing team to incorporate into our daily marketing activities. 

• Empathy and a genuine passion for disability inclusion and social impact. 

• Diploma / Degree / Professional qualification in design, marketing, mass communication, or related studies. 

• Proficient with digital tools (Canva, MS Office suite) and social media platforms. 

• Experience in copywriting, communications design, or video editing software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is a strong plus. 

• Self-starters ready to tackle everything from creative brainstorming to essential administrative tasks. 

• Duration: 5 to 6 months, starting around August 2026 (Exact dates open for discussion). 

• Working Hours: Full-time (5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week). 

• Location: Hybrid / On-site. Primarily at our main office, with occasional travel to external venues/event locations during programme days as instructed. 

• Stipend: $1,000 - $1,500 / month 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Capesize broking team in the negotiation and fixture process by providing timely market intelligence and operational support.
• Monitor and analyze dry bulk shipping market activities, with a focus on the Capesize segment.
• Prepare and distribute daily market updates, including vessel fixtures, freight rates, and route-specific developments to brokers and clients.
• Maintain and update centralized market databases to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information.

Detailed Day to Day task:

• Update and maintain daily records of Capesize fixtures and freight market developments across key trade routes.
• Compile and distribute morning market reports for brokers and clients.
• Support broker communications by preparing market updates and centralized data reports through internal communication channels.
• Ensure all market data, vessel positions, and cargo information are accurately maintained within internal systems.
• Assist brokers in distributing cargo and tonnage availability reports to targeted client groups.
• Follow up on vessel and cargo positions to ensure information remains current and actionable.
• Monitor market movements and provide relevant updates to support ongoing negotiations and commercial discussions.

Job Requirement:

• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and identify key trends.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage routine, data-intensive tasks efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a professional approach to communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools is an advantage.

Job Summary

Join HDI Global SE Singapore as a Market Management Intern (6-Month Internship) to support the Market Management team in driving business development and market engagement initiatives.

This role offers hands-on exposure across key areas including Marketing & Communications, Sales & Distribution, Market Intelligence, and Client Engagement, providing a well-rounded understanding of the commercial insurance landscape.

Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

• Support the coordination of HDI’s participation in conferences, sponsorships, and industry events
• Assist in the planning and execution of market events, webinars, and workshops for brokers and business partners
• Manage sourcing, ordering, and inventory tracking of branded merchandise
• Assist in developing and updating branding and communication materials, including publications, LinkedIn content, presentations, and company profiles

Sales & Distribution

• Assist in maintaining and updating sales pipeline and distribution data using Excel and CRM systems
• Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and management meetings
• Provide administrative support to business development activities where required

Market Intelligence

• Conduct research on market trends, competitors, brokers, and target clients to support strategic initiatives
• Compile and organise data for market intelligence reporting
• Assist in preparing insights and presentations to support decision-making

Client Engagement

• Support the preparation of meeting materials and follow-up actions for client and partner engagements
• Maintain and update contact databases and engagement records
• Coordinate internal and external meetings to support seamless client interactions

Other Responsibilities

• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives assigned by the Market Management team

Required Competencies and Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/ degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in the insurance or financial services industry
• Prior internship experience in marketing, business development, or events coordination would be advantageous

Role Overview

This role is primarily focused on digital marketing execution, content creation, and lightweight design production, with additional support in basic operational and coordination tasks.

Your day-to-day work will center on:

• Social media content creation and management
• Simple graphic design and visual production
• Basic marketing execution support across digital channels
• Light operational/coordination work (documentation, internal communication, scheduling support)

Key Responsibilities

• Create and publish visual content across marketing channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, email campaigns, website, etc.)
