Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality and performance of our ceiling fans through expert installation, repair, maintenance, and exceptional customer service. To support your work, you will be provided with a company van for installation and servicing trips across Singapore.

Job Scope:

Installation and Testing: Install ceiling fans on both concrete and false ceilings. Perform comprehensive safety checks and testing to confirm that the installation meets all required standards.

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Inspect ceiling fans to identify issues and malfunctions. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems accurately.

Repair and Maintenance: Repair or replace defective components such as motors. Clean fans and components to remove dust and debris. Perform preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of fans.

Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their fan-related issues and provide cost estimates for repairs. Offer guidance on proper fan usage and maintenance. Collect payment from customer.

Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired fans to ensure they operate correctly. Perform quality control checks to verify the quality of repairs.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries during repair work. Ensure all repaired fans meet safety standards.

Technical Expertise: Stay updated on the latest ceiling fan models and technologies. Attend training sessions or workshops to enhance technical skills. Mentor and train new technician team members as needed.

Spare parts & motor repairs: Repair the faulty parts if able to fix. Diagnose motor issues and malfunctions, perform motor repairs, including rewiring, replacing worn components, and reassembling motors.

Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other technicians, sales, and customer service team for efficient workflow. Share knowledge and insights to improve repair processes.

Customer Feedback: Solicit and collect customer feedback to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. Relay feedback of faulty/defect products to manager for consideration in decision-making processes.

Driving and Delivery: Responsible for using company vehicle to transport and deliver goods in a safe, timely and professional manner.

Pack Goods for Delivery: Carefully and accurately pack products for outbound shipments, ensuring items are secure and protected during transit. Label packages with shipping information and handle necessary documentation. Tailor and enhance products with accessories as per the order specifications. Scan the pick list and items to proceed delivery.

Unload Containers: Safely and efficiently unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers. Inspect and verify received goods against packing lists or purchase orders. Optimize store space by strategically adjusting the placement of goods and their respective locations.

Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment by following safety protocols and keeping work areas cleans and clutter-free. Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Any other tasks as assigned: Perform any additional duties and responsibilities as required by the Company from time to time, in accordance with business needs and operational requirements.

This role is contributing to Offshore Solutions Business within the Process Automation Energy Industries Division and is based in Singapore.

• Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams across different engineering disciplines, both in-house and at the execution center in the region.

• Reviewing RFQ documents, interpreting PMS schematics and engineering IEC 61850-based systems (MMS and GOOSE) including PMS applications for load shedding, load sharing, Generator Control and synchronization.

• Designing and Implementing communication networks and schemes for PMS using industrial protocols such as RSTP, HSR, PRP, and MRP etc.

• Integrating LV/HV switchgear equipment using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet etc.

• Collaborating on factory acceptance test at different factories, testing, pre-commissioning and com-missioning at yards and offshore sites.

• Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting of communication networks using specialized tools (e.g. Wireshark, IED Scout, ITT).

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a major in Electrical or Electronics.

• Proven hands-on experience in Automation projects across Oil & Gas or power industries.

• Familiarity with multiple IEC 61850 editions and cross-integration techniques.

• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and their implementation.

• Experience with ABB 800xA with control builder, PMS library and OPC UA will be an added advantage.

The Centre for Biomedical Ethics (CBmE), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, is a leading centre for teaching, research and engagement in biomedical ethics, health law, clinical ethics, research ethics, public health ethics, AI ethics, neuroethics and related fields.

CBmE is responsible for the development and delivery of the Health Ethics, Law and Professionalism programme across the undergraduate medical curriculum, and also contributes to postgraduate and continuing professional education in bioethics. As CBmE continues to grow its international research profile, regional partnerships and global engagement, the Centre seeks to appoint a part-time International Research Partnerships Consultant to provide specialist support for international research collaboration, strategic academic partnerships, grant development and outward-facing academic engagement.

About the role

The Part-Time Consultant will support the Centre’s international collaborations, strategic partnerships and outreach beyond Singapore. Job Description

We are looking for an experienced clinical monitor to perform the study monitroing in ADVANcing Clinical Evidence in Infectious Diseases Network (ADVANCE ID). ADVANCE ID is jointly funded by the Wellcome Trust and Singapore institutions including the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. The vision of the Network is to improve public health by developing the clinical evidence base for the prevention and treatment of drug-resistant infections. Its mission is to build and sustain a strategic clinical research network focussed on most efficiently delivering locally relevant interventions for drug-resistant infections.

The Network aims to improve and strengthen clinical research capabilities in the region by acting as a platform to develop good principles and practices. It will stabilise capacity and capabilities to mitigate inefficiencies in trial start-up phase and loss of skillset following study closure, as in typical trial setup. The Network will continuously develop its capabilities, quality and efficiency by learning from and collaborating with other clinical trial networks.

In the long term, the Network aims to support broader infectious disease studies by expanding geographically beyond its original starting point in South East Asia and collaborating with other networks around the world. It will function as an active network that involves patients in platform trials, allowing for rapid clinical research response in the event of an emerging infectious disease or pandemic threat.
The monitor should be able to supervise study sites and activities to ensure adherence to appropriate study protocols and applicable regulatory requirementterms of the study.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct qualification visits (QV), site initiation visits (SIV), monitoring visits (MV) and termination visits (TV) at assigned clinical sites and generate visit reports.
• Monitor the progress of clinical study sites participating in a clinical study, and to assure the protocol is followed and data is reported accurately.

• Review the performance of the trial at designated sites, ensure the rights and well-being of human subjects are safeguarded and are in accordance with protocol.
• Develop patient recruitment strategies in conjunction with the clinical site to meet enrolment timelines, while also ensuring compliance with the approved standard operating procedures (SOPs), protocol/amendment(s), GCP, and the applicable regulatory requirement(s).
• Assure that adverse events are correctly documented and reported.
• Ensure proper transmission of clinical case data to the data management centers, review case reports questions and problems and clarify or obtain alterations to data as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Site Management or equivalent experience in clinical research, with understanding of clinical trials methodology and terminology.

The NUHS@Home nurse provides nursing care to patients who require acute medical treatment but who are able to be cared for in their homes rather than in a hospital. The successful applicant will lead the design and verification of a novel modular long-span structural system and contribute to constructional metal 3D printing research in the later stage of the project.

The Research Fellow is expected to:
•    Propose conceptual structural systems for modular long-span transfer slab/truss assemblies.
