The Project Engineer (Civil) is responsible for assisting the Senior Engineer on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project. Description:

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of basic program (estimated targeted) for the site team to follow accordingly.
• Ability to resolve drawing discrepancies prior to start.
• Preparation of basic method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Involve in coordination between sub-contractors / vendors / departments and anticipate labour / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Involve in planning all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Day-to-day management of the site.
• Preparing daily reports.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University by Professional Engineer Board

Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor health & safety and environment management procedures and practices at work site
• Implement safety procedures at work, enforce safety regulations and promote safety culture
• Conduct daily inspection and take follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance
• Industrial incident & accident investigation
• Conduct safety induction/ tool-box meeting / training and emergency drills

Requirements:

• Possess relevant qualification and is a Registered Safety Officer with MOM

• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Safety Officer in MRT / LTA project with Main Contractor.
• Strong communication skills in both mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
