Title : M&E Construction Senior Manager

Responsibilities :-

The Construction Manager (CM) shall be responsible for the planning and execution of the construction works, managing field construction supervisors and plant and equipment supervisors, planning and managing temporary works, and ensuring the construction works are executed in accordance with the contract specifications

Mechanical Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical engineering team in the development of innovative electromechanical products. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering involvement, with a strong focus on precision mechanical design, tolerance analysis, manufacturing readiness, and cross-functional product development.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in mechanical engineering, experience supporting complex products involving camera modules and wireless technologies, and a strong background in leading teams in an R&D and regulated product environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of mechanical engineers, providing both technical and people leadership.
• Drive mechanical design and development for new and existing products from concept through production.
• Provide technical leadership in tolerance analysis, FACA, precision mechanical assemblies, and design optimization, particularly for camera modules and wireless-enabled products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong experience in precision mechanical design, tolerance analysis, and root cause failure analysis (FACA).
• Good knowledge of tooling, milling, machining processes, and manufacturing methods.
• Strong R&D product development experience is required.
• Experience supporting electromechanical products involving camera modules, wireless systems, or embedded devices is highly preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices is a plus.

I. Key Role

Managing the programmes from forecasting, cost management, securing profitability of project, to ensuring compliance to specifications, regulations and schedules and evaluation of contractors and suppliers.

II. Principal Accountabilities

• Oversee the planning, implementation of security and safety of the sites and maintenance of the sites and dormitories and assets throughout the project cycles
• Site Activities Management – Plan, manage and coordinate all matters relating to work/construction programmes
• Develop Construction Programmes to meet Contract Delivery Dates
• Monitor, control and ensure projects are carried out according Project Schedule and Budget, etc
• Coordinate with Consultants, Architects and Sub-contractors & relevant authorities and direct construction workers and contractors

1. Project Site Leadership & Execution

â—¦ Develop and implement site work schedules, monitor daily progress against project milestones, and proactively resolve delays or bottlenecks.

â—¦ Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality meets project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.

2. Safety, Health & Compliance (SHS)

◦ Enforce strict compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, Building Control Act, and all relevant local construction regulations.

â—¦ Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and site safety audits to promote a zero-incident culture.

â—¦ Ensure all workers on-site are properly trained, certified, and equipped with necessary PPE; manage risk assessments and hazard mitigation plans.

3. Stakeholder & Team Management

â—¦ Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and local authorities (e.g., BCA, LTA) to coordinate approvals, resolve design issues, and address on-site queries.

â—¦ Manage the on-site team, including supervisors, foremen, and sub-contractors; assign roles, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure efficient workflow.

â—¦ Communicate project updates, progress reports, and issues to the project management office (PMO) and senior management regularly.

4. Cost & Resource Control

â—¦ Monitor project budgets, track material usage, labour costs, and equipment expenses to prevent cost overruns.

â—¦ Manage material deliveries and inventory to avoid shortages or wastage; coordinate equipment usage and maintenance to minimise downtime.

â—¦ Review work progress claims and sub-contractor invoices for accuracy before approval.

5. Quality Control & Handover
