About the role
XSQUARE Technologies is seeking a skilled AMR / AGV Technician to join our dynamic engineering team on a full-time basis in the Benoi Sector, West Region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). This position is critical to ensuring our robotic systems operate at peak efficiency, directly supporting our clients' operational excellence and our company's reputation for delivering reliable automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Convert manual forklifts into automated AMR/AGV systems to enhance operational efficiency
- Install automation kits, sensors, controllers, and safety devices on vehicles to enable autonomous functions
- Perform wiring, mechanical assembly, and system integration to ensure proper operation of AMR/AGV units
- Test, calibrate, and commission AMR/AGV units to verify functionality and safety compliance
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to minimize downtime
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to sustain equipment reliability
- Respond promptly to system faults and breakdowns to restore operational capability
- Follow safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Accurately record all conversion, testing, and maintenance activities for documentation and tracking
Required competencies and certifications
- Technical diploma or relevant hands-on experience
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to AMR/AGV systems
- Experience with AMR, AGV, or forklift systems
- Understanding of Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) machines
