Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist Engineers to improve machine/ process yield and quality:-

a) Analyze machine/ process issue and customer complaint

b) Implement corrective and preventive actions

c) Provide timely engineering support in failure analysis and CAPA resolution

2. Support achievement of department goals:-

a) Participate and lead in PMT, SGA and VIP initiative. Drive and lead in OEE and productivity improvement

b) Provide technical expertise for employee teams and implementation of employee suggestions (Kaizen)

c) Further enhance machine performance (e.g. OEE ) through process modification, simplification and improvement

3. Technical support to production:-

a) Provide timely support to resolve machine issue and breakdown so as to minimize unplanned production downtime

b) Manage and implement effective PM program

c) Spare parts management

4. New machine/ product start-up:-

a) Assist to execute IQ, OQ & PQ validation.

b) Compile and prepare training materials, and conduct training to technicians and operators on machine operations.

c) Identify/ evaluate alternative methods or technologies

5. Engagement with engineers/supervisors and suppliers:-

a) Technical exchange of information

b) Input on issues and come up with proposals on resolution

c) Evaluation of purchase parts, request for quotation

6. Responsible for compliance to EHS procedure and requirement.

Qualifications/

Education:

· NITEC (NTC/ ITC)/ Diploma or equivalent

Skill Set and/or

Experience:

· NITEC (NTC/ ITC) with at least 8 years/ Diploma with 2 years experience

· An SME (Subject Matter Experts) on key processes and equipment/ machineries

· Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

· Good understanding/knowledge in basic design of jigs and fixtures

· Good understanding of mechanical/electrical drawings and control system (PLC)

· A team player, resourcefulness, good attitude and teamwork

1. To perform manual assembly of product / loading & unloading of assembly product on the assembly line and in packing line per product specification.

2. To perform workstation cleaning as per SOP requirement.

3. Able to identify assembly component parts and describe defect types in English.

4. Responsible for complying with EHS/6S/GMP/SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist supervisor in daily production activity to meet desired productivity and achieve good product quality.

2. To perform machine setup and trouble-shooting to ensure maximum machine uptime.

3. Carry out preventive maintenance / cleaning and ensure instrument are calibrated timely.

4. Perform maintenance work in accordance to written procedures / systems and spare parts control management.

5. Responsible for complying with EHS/6S/GMP/SOPs and regulatory requirements.

6. Participate and support tasks / projects assigned by management to drive for continuous improvement.

7. Able to accept overtime assignment.

8. Able to accept flexible deployment in different work environment.

Qualifications/ Education:

· NITEC (NTC)/ Diploma or equivalent

Skill Set and/or Experience:

· NITEC (NTC) with at least 2 years or Fresh Diploma holder

· Knowledge in trouble shooting skills in mechanical, electrical or control engineering

· Knowledge in PLC is advantage.

· Able to interpret mechanical, electrical or control drawings/ circuitries and computer literacy preferred

1.     Manage projects / Product or Process Change and Enhancement

a.      Liaise with stake holders on requirements, technical specifications, deadlines, work schedules, feasibility, implementation and validation.

b.     Assist in product design change project that affects product performance.

c.      Lead change control process, specification change and validation activities.

2.     To improve the capability of the manufacturing processes with higher predictability and lower production costs.

a.      Identify productivity improvement opportunities, recommend changes to machine parts designs, conduct feasibility studies and liaise with the stake holder on the implementation.

b.     Effective use of Lean tools to improve overall machine performance (eg, OEE).

c.      Implement Energy / Water conservation projects.

d.     Ensure process is stable and capable of meeting all product requirements while maintaining  a safe working environment. Verify that machine-produced parts are of acceptable quality, safe to operate and  environmentally friendly. Conduct validation studies and process investigations.

3.     Support manufacturing and maintenance engineering.

4.     Analyze machine and/ or process issue related to customer complaint and implement effective corrective and preventive action.

a.      May include leading a group of technicians to support manufacturing activities. Study parts life and establish PM schedule for TPM activities.

5.     Label Change

a.      Evaluate project requests from countries or regions with Plant operations, quality and planning to conduct feasibility studies to determine technical specifications, validation, deadlines and implementation.

b.     Work with supply chain and marketing on deadlines to implement changes and product transition to new changes.

c.      Draft label copy artworks and drawings in accordance with requirements and technical specifications.

d.     Liaise with procurement / vendors on requirements and verifications of product samples.

e.      Interact with Regulatory Affairs & Marketing on latest developments in regional requirements in respective countries and implementing those changes to meet requirements.

6.     Responsible for compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) procedure and requirement.

Qualification / Education

·       Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent

Skill Set / Experience

·       Degree with Min 3 years experience

·       2-3 years experience in engineering projects management and coordination

·       Good engineering background in industrial automation, electrical and controls engineering

·       Experience in new manufacturing machinery commissioning, debugging and validation

·       Familiarize with basic GMP and other relevant requirements for medical/ pharmaceutical products manufacturing

·       Knowledge of Installation Qualification (IQ)/Operational Qualification (OQ)/Performance Qualification (PQ) would be an added advantage.
