KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle inbound, outbound and transhipment and prepares invoices, documents related to the plant served.
• Generating commissions for the agents, if any
• Manage & Update internal database of price lists to ensure the accuracy of prices/products and terms
• Manage inventory control; replenishing stock control in SG warehouse (Tuas)
• Generating samples and ensuring sample are delivered promptly
• Liaise and coordinate with overseas vendors/customers, freight forwarders, carriers on delivery date and pick-ups
• Monitor and follow-up with suppliers/customers to ensure on-time and accurate shipping document submission
• Ensure timely generation and submission monthly sales reports
• Propose cost-effective and efficient solutions
• Provide marketing support to Sales Manager and keeping customers informed of marketing updates

EDUCATION:

Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain or a related field

TYPICAL PROFILE:

• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Ability to work under pressure and to motivate and achieve a good working relationship with personnel at all levels
• Have practical sales or marketing experience in addition to working knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
• Good advanced skills in MS Excel applications and logistics software
• Possess good interpersonal communication skills
• Have experience handling the Far East region
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent

Duties

The most important duty of delivery drivers is to drive safely to their destination. Drivers are also often expected to help with the loading and unloading of their products, keep logs of their activities and make sure their vehicles are maintained in good working order. Package delivery service drivers and those whose job involves sales often have to accept payment for services and handle other paperwork related to the delivery. Some may be responsible for obtaining new customers along a delivery route.

Requirements

Delivery drivers often receive on-the-job training, covering company products and policies, the preparation of delivery forms and the operation and loading of the vehicle. Part of the training may involve riding with experienced drivers. Those who drive armored vehicles may have to obtain a concealed weapons permit. Drivers required to use location or automatic routing software are given instruction in this technology.

The position requires good eyesight, hearing and physical condition. Because delivery drivers often deal with customers, employers look for applicants with initiative, who are neat, well spoken, courteous and work well with little supervision. A satisfactory driving record is usually required.
