We are hiring a Senior / Finance Executive to join Trinity Methodist Church (TRAC). In this role, you will work with the Finance Committee to assume responsibility for the Church’s accounting, finance, and treasury operations.

You will support the management of the full set of accounts and work closely with the Local Church’s Executive and Finance Committees to implement strategies and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of Church Finance and Accounting functions and make a meaningful impact by supporting the Church’s growth and helping to strengthen efficiency, accountability and financial stewardship.

Job Scope & Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the complete set of accounts, including posting journal entries, processing payment vouchers, performing bank reconciliations, managing Fixed Assets register, preparing month-end closing and financial reports
• Coordinate with auditors for annual and other audits
• Manage the Church’s treasury functions, including deposits
• Administer the annual finance and budgeting process
• Be the primary contact to the Local Church Executive Committee and Finance Committee for finance-related matters. Handle financial queries, support church events, and provide occasional administrative support as needed.
• Prepare IR8A, statistics for TRAC and information required by IRAS

Requirements

• Able to work independently and with a team, with a strong sense of accountability
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is advantageous
• Adaptable and able to anticipate changes and drive improvements
• Good interpersonal & communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiar with Accounting Software such as QuickBooks, Xero

 Education and Experience

-         Degree / Diploma in Finance and/or Accountancy or equivalent experience.

-         At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role. 

-         Experience in church and charity finance or accounting role would be beneficial.

Eligibility: Singaporean and Singapore Permanent Resident only.

The successful candidate will work weekdays (9am to 6pm), with a planned weekend duty approximately (but not more than) once a month (Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 12noon) as part of a roster with other administrative staff. One full day off in-lieu will be provided for duties performed on Sundays to ensure a balanced workload. The Role : As the Administrative Executive for Comms and Worship & Music (W&M), you will play a vital supportive role in executing our communications strategy and managing W&M administration. You will be responsible for maintaining effective communication collaterals and online forms that engage both internal and external stakeholders and align with the church's goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital & Social Media: Manage and update the church's website and social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Provide weekly updates to members via WhatsApp and Telegram, and schedule, edit, and publish livestreams.
• Worship & Music Coordination: Partner with the W&M teams to prepare service slides, collate materials for services, and manage schedules for service chairs and communion stewards. You will also liaise with speakers to secure sermon details and assist in reporting song usage to CCLI.
• Church-wide Communications: Edit, proofread, and publish the weekly e-bulletin. You will collaborate with the Communications Committee on publicity initiatives and coordinate the drafting, design, and distribution of Pastor’s Letters.
• Administrative Management: Create and manage registration e-forms (Google Forms, Microsoft Forms) for major church events. Maintain and update the church calendar and tiny URL links, compile local conference reports, and provide general administrative support as assigned.

• Attitude: Pro-active, highly teachable, and possesses a strong willingness to pick up new skills.
• Digital Proficiency: Proficient in managing websites and actively updating various social media platforms.
• Technical Skills: Familiar with creative, presentation, and administrative software, specifically Pro-Presenter, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office applications.
