Responsibilities & Requirements

The key requirements are as follows:

• Recognized degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a relevant discipline
• At least 6 years' relevant experience in application development
• Gone through at least one full SDLC with experience in producing SDLC documentation
• Experience in analysing requirements, designing, developing and delivering enterprise applications in Java/JEE, web programming on UNIX/LINUX and Windows environments
• Experience in web-based application development (EJB, Spring boot, Servlets, JavaScript)
• and database application interfacing (JDBC, SQL) in Application Server and database
• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Containerization, Microservices and CI/CD with containers
• Experience in AWS services
• Experience in Agile development methodology and continuous integration

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and enhance Avaloq Core Banking functionalities.
• Translate business requirements into effective and scalable technical solutions.
• Take ownership of tasks from analysis through to delivery, with minimal supervision.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in system performance, stability, and usability.
• Provide input into solution design, best practices, and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring long-term and sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years hands-on experience in Avaloq development (core customization, parameterization, scripting, or related modules).
• Strong understanding of the Avaloq Object Model (AOM), PL/SQL, and Avaloq frameworks.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver results under minimal guidance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think beyond the immediate task.
• Proactive mindset comfortable suggesting improvements and driving change.
• Experience in Agile/iterative delivery models is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design artifacts
• Make presentations at internal conferences and authorship internal in publications
• Provide end to end solution and design details Drive POCs to assess new solution/application paths Lead / participate in product selection process and fit gap analysis Methodology and Quality Assurance
• Contribute to a repository for solution/application artifacts Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.
• Collaborates with Project Managers and technical staff to provision estimates, develop over all implementation solution/application plan, and serve as a lead as required, to implement the installation, customization, and integration efforts
• Oversee aspects of project lifecycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within the solution/application area Provide equality assurance for services within the solution/application area
• Write, or direct the writing of white papers that add further insight and thought in the solution/application area Work Force Management, Supervision and Mentoring Manages a team of direct reports (if applicable) who drive service lines in the solution/application area
• Assists staffing coordinators who define project team requirements for projects in solution/application area
• Work with Delivery to define overall recruiting needs and expertise in solution/application area Work with Delivery to establish professional development needs for practitioners in solution/application area Mentor and guide more junior technical resources

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a complex enterprise environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in banking technology.
• Experience in design Cloud native, Event based and Microservice Architecture.
• Deep End-to-End Enterprise Architecture understanding, including Enterprise Java Stack (JEE), JAVA spring boot, Rich UI and Front-End technologies (ReactJS, Kony, etc.), mobile applications (Android and iOS), Middleware technologies (Tibco, Solace, Kafka, Active MQ etc.), Mainframe technologies, Databases, Data Warehouses, and Core Banking solutions.
• Experienced working in a cloud native work environment, spring cloud data, Spring Security, OAuth, service monitoring on cloud, PaaS environment such as Pivotal, Kubernetes.
• Presence in open-source projects will be huge plus.
• Experience with event based and microservice solutions developed in large cloud computing infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud, and/or Google Cloud Strong will add an advantage
• Experienced in Agile methodology.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple concurrent initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain UI automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using POM, Hybrid, or BDD (Cucumber/TestNG).
• Automate functional, regression, and cross browser test scenarios for web applications.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Analyze test failures, debug issues, and collaborate with development and QA teams for resolution.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable automation by improving framework structure, reusability, and performance.
• Participate in test planning, automation strategy, and continuous improvement activities.

Your Profile

• 4-8 years of strong programming experience in Java (OOPs, Collections, Streams, Exception Handling).
• Hands on expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation (locators, waits, dynamic elements).
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit and build tools like Maven/Gradle.
• Solid understanding of XPath/CSS selectors, browser dev tools, and handling complex UI elements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps; version control using Git.
• Experience working with automation frameworks (POM, Hybrid, Data Driven).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Candidates are expected to provide strong technical skills in requirements gathering, software development and solution design. 
• Candidates also require work experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite. Focus will be on topics around interfaces with Avaloq (online banking and online investment applications).
• Avaloq parameterization and development of software changes including unit testing.
• Business Analysis for change requests and incidents.
• Close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure fit-for-purpose end-to-end functionality
