Role Purpose

Reporting to the Head, Talent &Development. This role is a member of the HR Team of Swire Shipping. This role will play a critical role in designing and implementing learning &development programs and interventions for our leadership teams, talents and organization’s fundamental programs. The role will provide instructional design, content sourcing/curation, conducting training, workshop facilitations, program management and promoting learning culture for Swire Shipping. This role will be highly exposed to Talent Management programs and initiatives in the Company.

The Talent Development Manager will engage closely with Chief People Officer, People Business Partners, COEs leaders and internal/external facilitators to establish and implement talent development solutions.

Role Accountabilities

Learning & Development

• Co-design and implement the Swire shipping talent development roadmap, content and delivery methods through proactive learning needs analysis and regular engagement with leadership, key stakeholders and HR to ensure strategic alignment in talent capabilities development
• Develop and implement metrics and monitoring plans to evaluate and demonstrate the impact of training on improving talent capabilities and performance
• Develop and promote a learning culture leveraging on technology, e-learning & social media platforms.
• Apply adult learning principles and creativity to design, develop and deliver highly engaging training/workshops through different modality: ILT, virtual-ILT, e-Learning, content curation
• Lead and provide input into annual plan and budget based on talent development needs
• Manage training resources and external vendor relationships to ensure effective design and implementation of training solutions within allocated budget
• Lead the management of Learning Management System (LMS) and e-learning content platform.

Talent Management

• Support other talent management activities, including Talent Review, Talent Engagement, Succession Planning

Employee Experience

• Apply Design Thinking concept to design employee experience from pre-boarding to off-boarding
• Design and implement new hire assimilation program for company’s key and critical roles’ on-boarding
• Design new hire orientation on-boarding and engagement program
• Partner with respective stakeholders to adopt and localize employee experience-related program

Program Management

• Project manage Talent Development program from design to pilot to production
• Event manage of key Leadership & Talent Development initiatives
• Develop and execute all change management efforts partnering with key stakeholders, HRBPs and other resources as needed

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Training &Development, Human Resources Development, or related discipline preferred

• 5 - 8 years’ experience in Learning &Development, Talent, Organization Development

• At least 3 years’ experience in facilitation and delivering training with participants size ranging from 12 to50 participants in person and up to 50 virtually

• Coaching and/or assessment certification(ICF, Association of Coaching, MBTI, FIRO-B, SHL, etc)

• End-to-end Learning & Development Program Management including from Learning Needs Analysis to Program Effectiveness measurement

• Ability to analyze and use data-storytelling to engage stakeholders

• Working knowledge for Korn Ferry Leadership Architect or functional competencies development will be a plus

Role Purpose

The Assistant Capacity Manager supports the achievement of yield and profitability targets by managing capacity effectively across all relevant bi-directional service legs. The scope of this includes monitoring and managing utilizations and yield proactively through effective forecasting, planning and service design, supporting partnerships, and coordinating cargo flows and transshipments in conjunction with Line Managers/assistant and Capacity Managers to manage capacity across the network’s service strings.

Role Accountabilities

Yield Management

· Support optimisation of capacity/inventory of voyages and therefore contribute to P&L outcomes.

· Analyse and recommend optimal mix of cargo carried on any given voyage to ensure the best possible financial return, considering long and short-term factors, including but not limited to customer impact, contracts and competitor response.

· To develop reports and systems to support the Capacity Manager and Line Manager in ensuring the maximum possible yield is achieved on every voyage (given pricing set by Market Managers) and reviewed accordingly in month-end forecasts and actual results.

· Proactively drive effective internal communication with other Capacity network teams keeping our cost exposure under control and therefore allowing the best yield / return for the company.

Seasonal & Short-Term Capacity Planning

· Support the establishment of systems to monitor and provide information on voyage/vessel capacity utilization, and recommend suitable actions.

· To monitor and drive bookings to ensure that each sailing is in line with model vessel put in place by the Capacity Manager.

· Develop and maintain a 12-month capacity plan for the service based on demand and supply forecasts and budgets, and to play an active role in coordinating and putting into effect seasonal capacity adjustments, including blankings, port omissions / additions, and one-off peak charter voyages.

· To drive and manage the short-term capacity adjustment (designed by Capacity Manager) such as cargo transfers, transshipments, port omission / additions as required.

· To assist co-ordinating ‘extraordinary’ events in the management of the service such as vessel breakdowns changes and dry dockings.

Internal Customer Support

· Work closely with Commercial and Port Operations teams, as well as competitors/partners, and make analyses and recommendations pertaining to capacity management, keeping in mind targets on yield, customer service, and profitability.

· In charge of the day-to-day monitoring/reporting on specific service stings identified as problematic and allocated to the Assistant by the Capacity Manager.

· Develop and implement processes for continuous improvement.

· Main strong relationship with point of contact with Customer Service on day-to-day operational matters regarding customers’ bookings.

Partnerships

Role Purpose

The Process Excellence & Services Manager drives continuous improvement across the shared services operation and ensures the organisation's process documentation is produced and maintained to a consistent, high-quality standard.

The role has two connected mandates. First, itis embedded in the shared services operation across all service lines, diagnosing performance issues, driving improvement, and ensuring the services delivered meet the standards the business requires. Second, it owns the process documentation standards and methodology for the department, managing the pipeline of documentation work and the process repository.

The role is based in Singapore with regular travel to the shared services centres. It reports to the General Manager, Business Excellence, and works closely with domain leads, shared services leadership, and Technology.

Shared Services Performance and Continuous Improvement

• Spend significant time on the ground in the shared services centres, building a detailed understanding of how work flows across all service lines and where performance breaks down.
• Diagnose root causes of quality, throughput, and cycle time issues within the shared services operation, using structured problem-solving and data analysis.
• Lead and deliver improvement initiatives that reduce rework, exception volumes, processing errors, and turnaround times across shared services.
• Work with shared services leadership to embed practical performance routines that convert signals into action: queue management, triage effectiveness, SLA adherence, exception handling, and escalation discipline.

• Define and maintain the standards for how processes are documented across the department: notation conventions, levels of detail, naming, metadata, and tooling.

• Own the methodology for how process documentation is requested, produced, reviewed, approved, and published, including version control and review cycles.

Role Purpose

Support the Line Manager in managing capacity effectively across all relevant bi-directional service legs in order to maximize yield and profitability. The scope of this includes establishing, maintaining, and monitoring vessel utilisations proactively through effective forecasting with stakeholders and planning by coordinating E2E cargo flows, including third party feeders, mother vessels and transhipments across the network service strings to deliver cargo OTP. Maintaining effective service partnerships execution, as defined and to support the Line Manager in achieving budgeted P&L outcomes through management and control of non-pricing related activity.

Role Accountabilities

Seasonal & Short-Term Capacity Planning

• Work closely with regional customer service and booking teams to manage cargo intake on a voyage-by-voyage basis, ensuring an optimal customer experience to delivery cargo OTP.
• Develop and agree the 12-month capacity plan for the relevant directional service legs based on supply and demand forecasts provided by respective departments, i.e., Commercial, Logistics (empties) and Line Management (partner Lines).
• Understand past and future volume, commodity, and market trends to inform Line Management on potential tonnage requirements.

•  Analyse future cargo demand and agree in conjunction with Market department monthly forecast volume to ensure +/- 10% variance to actual.

Yield Management

• Responsible for ensuring the optimal mix of cargo is carried on any given voyage to ensure the best possible financial return, considering long and short-term factors, including but not limited to customer impact, contracts and competitor response.
• To develop reports and systems to support the Line Manager in ensuring the maximum possible yield is achieved on every voyage (given pricing set by Market Managers) and reviewed accordingly in month-end forecasts and actual and TCE results.

Competitor Analysis & Monitoring

• To be Swire Shipping’s regional expert in understanding the capacity, drivers impacting relevant competitors, and to recommend and support the Line Managers in forming, implementing and monitoring effective competitive strategies.
