National Robotics Competition Coach (Part-Time)

Duration: May – September 2026
Commitment: ~2–3 hours per week (Total: ~60 hours)
Location: Punggol / Novena / Katong / Tiong Bahru / Beauty World / Jurong (Choose preferred location)
Compensation: $30–$50/hour (based on experience)

Role Overview

We are looking for passionate and committed individuals to join us as National Robotics Competition (NRC) Coaches. You will guide students in preparing for the National Robotics Competition, helping them develop strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and competition strategies.

Job Responsibilities (JD)

• Plan and conduct weekly robotics training sessions

• Guide students in:

• Robot building (structure, stability, optimisation)

• Coding and logic development

• Problem-solving and debugging

• Prepare students for competition tasks (e.g. line tracking, obstacle challenges)

• Support students in testing, iteration, and performance improvement

• Manage classroom dynamics and ensure student engagement

• Track student progress and provide feedback where necessary

• Prepare students for actual competition conditions (timed runs, pressure handling)

Requirements (Preferred)

• Prior experience in robotics (LEGO SPIKE Prime, EV3 Mindstorm)

• Experience in teaching or coaching students 

• Familiarity with competition formats (e.g. NRC, FLL) 

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Responsible and able to commit consistently throughout the programme

Job Summary: The Admin cum Customer Service role at our enrichment centre involves providing administrative support and excellent customer service to students and parents. The role requires efficient handling of enquiries, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth operation of the centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Centre Manager in handling and maintaining proper records of enquiries or feedback received from students/parents.
• Attending to phone and walk-in enquiries.
• Establishing and maintaining proper filing system to ensure smooth documentation and administration of the centre.
• Maintenance of office inventory and equipment.
• General administrative duties.
• Assist the trainers when necessary.
• Act in all respects according to the instructions and directions given to you by the Company through the Director and/or Centre Manager.
• Do all in your power to promote, develop, and extend the activities of the Company and at all times and in all respects conform to and comply with the proper and reasonable directions from the Director and/or Centre Manager.
• Be responsible to communicate with proper spoken and written English.
• Attending staff meetings & team building.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Google Drive.
• Previous experience in administrative or customer service roles is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Arrangements:

• Primary workplace: Punggol
• Travel requirements: Occasional travel (less than 10%) to other centres within Singapore for training, meetings, or covering other centre administration duties.
• We have a requirement for a 5.5-day work week setup, comprising 3.5 days on weekdays and 2 days on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
• Your working hours for weekdays (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) will be from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On Tuesday, your working hours will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
• For the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), your working hours will be from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour break.
• The break time is 30 minutes for any working day except Tuesday; you may decide your break hour, avoiding class start and ending times.
